The big brother to our NEIPA, God Loves Ugly

Big hits of dank pine resin and orange zest on the nose. Flavors of sweet papaya and melon, lemon rind with a balanced bitterness , clean finish and a creamy mouthfeel.

... you paint that shit gold.

Serving: Growler
Filled: Aug-29-2022
Consumed: Sept-1-2022

Pours a glowing gold with moderate haze and a finger plus of fluffy head that settles to a robust film. Nice lacing. The aroma is bright and punchy right out of the gates. Sweet oranges and maybe a little mango. Not tons of depth to it but a strong inviting smell nonetheless. The flavor is very sweet to the point that it surprised me at first, but it goes well with the other aspects of the beer. Might be lactose, but since these guys have shirts that say "f*** lactose" I'm guessing not... A big, sweet body to layer the hops on no doubt. Flavor is similarly "on the same page" which is to say that it is a strong, sweet, concentrated citrus without much else. There is a bitter resinous bite to the finish that lingers and merges into the mouthfeel, which is the tiniest bit astringent, sweet and full. This is a nice beer on which the nose is the highlight and the rest ranges from very good to very, very good in my eyes. Look forward to seeing this brewery continue to develop over the next few years!

Many thanks to SaqwDog505 for this can.

Canned on: ??????

A - Opaque medium golden tan color with creamy, dense, sticky white lacing.

S - Pineapple, apricot, nectarine/tangerine, and a slight bit of spicy fruit rind.

T - Peach, nectarine, pineapple, orange, melon, and a lingering citrus resin on the back side with a little bit of a piney bite in the beginning. Pulpy resiny citrus builds on the back side.

M - Big body that's pillowy soft.

O - A very solid D-IPA right here.

Pours a very hazy yellow with a finger plus sticky white head that leaves massive streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.5

Aroma is papaya, tangerine, slightly dank, apricot, and a little hit of grapefruit. 4.5

Taste follows papaya, tangerine, a little on the dank side, apricot, and some grapefruit to round it out. 4.5

Mouthfeel is above average, not sticky or dry, soft gentle carbonation creamy carbonation, and at 8.5% ABV it goes really easy, but loaded with flavor. 4.5

Overall another excellent and fairly unique NEDIPA from this excellent brewery who will be turning 2 in a few weeks. 4.5

From a 32oz growler, filled at the brewery 06/23/21. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.

Pours a thoroughly opaque, dull and milky orange-gold with a finger or so of super-soft, lathery head. Retention is excellent, leaving a thick, sudsy cap and a heavy blanket of lacing. Looks to be the real deal.

Aroma is soft and juicy-sweet. Pineapple, orange, lemon, cupcake.

Taste follows the nose, juicy and mildly sweet. Tasting pineapple, papaya, and orange, melon rind, mint, grapefruit juice, pine sap, and just a smidge of earthy bitterness.

Feel is flat-out juicy. medium bodied and brightly carbonated. Zero indication of the high abv on either the palate or in the gullet.

Overall, OK, I can no longer deny it: this is an absolutely totally dialed-in, laugh-out-loud, knockout NEDIPA.
