16oz undated can.
Pours cloudy gold with an inch-plus head of white. Peach, orange, mango in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Juicy citrus on the palate with minimal malt and a solid bitterness. Unripe peach, dried pineapple, grapefruit. Finishes juicy and fairly dry with a decent hop bite.

This was good but not as good as I'd expected. Canned ~30 days prior, though still no dating on the can (going by FB announcement), and I've noticed Modestman NEIPAs tend to fall off quickly. I'll revisit if I can find fresher.

From a 16oz can, undated. Purchased at the brewery 01/26/21. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours a murky appearing, hazy dark orange with a finger or so of creamy suds. Retention is OK, leaving a heavy cap and a blanket of lacing.
Nose is medium-sharp, mildly sweet and citrusy. Aroma of fresh-squeezed orange.
Taste is oily, with a kerosene-like edge, and faintly flowery. Tasting orange, orange peel and sour cantaloupe, with pithy grapefruit peel coming on strong into and beyond the finish.
Feel is juicy, oily, medium bodied with ample fine, prickly carbonation.
Overall, a competent enough NEDIPA, neither their best nor their worst, just the seemingly unnecessary twentieth-something iteration of NEIPA in their otherwise somewhat style-limited portfolio. The name is just stupid. It’s not edgy; it’s dumb. So, -0.25 off the overall for being dumb. Because that’s what I think.

Thick 'n hazy burnt orange and grainy color, full-on creamy white foam...you know, classic huge NEIPA look.
Very sweet clementine and spicy pineapple hop aromatics. Boozy peach and grainy scented grapefruit abounds.
Incredibly thick, grainy and smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Modest Man NEIPA's consistently have the most lush mouthfeel. Top notch effect.
The flavor is all hoppy assertiveness. Huge grapefruit and dry, grainy earth tones. Clementine peel and booze soaked peaches all in flavorful abundance. The malty thickness adds to the grainy aspect but with a layer of cream. Simply Delicious.
As usual, Modest Man producing top notch New England Dipa's. This one stands out as perhaps the most bitter hop bite and aggressive grainy effect yet.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned this week. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a half finger sticky white head that leaves plenty of thin webs of lace, with nice retention. 4.5
Aroma mango, mandarin, melon, pineapple, apricot, and a little hint of grapefruit. 4.25
Taste follows cantaloupe, mango, mandarin, pineapple, apricot, and again just a little hint of grapefruit bitterness. 4.25
Mouthfeel is above medium, not dry or sticky, soft gentle creamy carbonation, and 8.4% goes down really easy, but big on flavor. 4.75
Overall this is excellent, but I honestly think it will balance out with another week in the can, maybe a touch green. 4.25

16 oz can.
Pours a hazy bright orange color with a finger of sudsy white head. Pretty good head retention. Leaves a nice crown of cobweb lacing.
The aroma brings notes of peach, pineapple, honeydew melon, and apricot, with some lighter notes of citrus. There's a subtle doughy malt character chilling in the back with his earthy, piney homies.
The flavor has a ton of peach and mango, as well as pineapple, apricot and honey. There's some mandarin orange and grapefruit with a bitter, acidic finish.
The feel is medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Relatively soft and creamy. A modest presence of booze on the finish.
Overall this is a very good NEIPA. It's pretty well-balanced between tropical and citrusy fruit flavors. It drinks a bit heavy with some definitive alcohol presence but otherwise it's a nice beer that's worth trying.
