Poured into a 20 oz tulip glass not sure when it was canned, with in the last 2 weeks I trust. Pours a fairly cloudy yellow with a finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace, with nice retention. 4.0
Aroma is mandarin, apricot, lime, and grapefruit rind. 3.75
Taste follows mandarin, apricot, lime, and pink grapefruit. 4
Mouthfeel is above average, a tad dry, plenty of life, and at 8.5% huge flavor but still easy going down. 4
Overall I actually like it, but not what I was expecting. Along the lines of Sip Of Sunshine and that isn’t a bad thing, just not the juicy DIPA I was expecting. 4

From a 32oz growler, filled at the brewery yesterday evening. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours a hazy, milky-pale honey-gold with two-plus fingers of soft, lush suds. Retention is excellent, leaving a fat, creamy cap and a tattered curtain of thick, foamy lacing. Looks great.
Nose is subtle: mildly sweet and fruity. Aromas of tropical fruit, strawberry and biscuit. Faint, but what there is of it is nice.
Taste does a bit of a turn from the nose, putting a harshly grainy and bitter edge on the soft, sweet fruitiness. Tasting hardtack biscuit, grapefruit peel and sweet orange, lemon juice, green berry and sappy pine. A marmalade-like melange of sweet and bitter.
Feel is clean and bright, probably medium bodied but feeling lighter than that owing to some bright and lively carbonation.
Overall, excellent! A joy to drink! Leans into the Stoneface side of the collaboration, very reminiscent of some of the best Full Clip iterations but overlaid with a distinctively Modestman flavor profile - a showcase of both brewers at their best. Fucking kudos all day long to the both of you.

ModestMan x StoneFace Collab. Released 8/29/22.
Look: Straw Gold and a white haze, white fo cap, clumpy, scattered cover and chunky lace.
Nose: Pine sap, pineapple, papaya, grapefruit, boozy citrus and husky, sweet golden malt.
Feel & Flavor: A sharp, earthy, bitter and medicinal style bite. The bitterness puckers and rides on throughout the hop flavor complexity. Columbus and maybe Centennial hops for the bitterness? Round edges is smooth but slightly bulky in the feel. Tangy fruits and earthy bitterness in a huge way here.
Overall: So, this much more earthy, bitter than most hazy, golden style IPA's. A bunch of tangy fruit, but the bitterness of the hops is the major player here. If you know these two breweries well enough, like I do, you'll be able to see specific aspects from both sides here, slightly dominated by StoneFace in my opinion.
