Big thanks to EgadBananas for sharing this growler with me!
A: Jet black with a thin dark brown head, not a ton of lacing is left on the glass.
S: Tons of coffee up front, meshed with deep dark chocolate, roasted malts, oak, and bourbon as it warms. Inviting and comforting aroma, perfect for the style.
T: Less coffee than the nose, as the chocolate and barrel character dominate. I get oak, pretty strong alcohol, chocolate and roasty black coffee as well.
M: Full bodied with a decent amount of alcohol heat, not too sweet or cloying, solid balance brought about by the coffee.
O: A really really good imperial stout from Schlafy. Glad I got a chance to try and I dig what they did with the coffee here!
