Golden color with sizeable white head. Cloves on the nose with fruitiness, as well. Very subtle citrus juiciness leads the flavor. It's balanced with clovey bitterness. There's a very clear line between the initial sweetness and the bitter finish.

Gold in color and fairly hazy in complexion. There's a half inch of densely packed eggshell white on top. Light lacing. Aroma is of tart and slightly vinous Belgian yeast and lightly earthy hops. The taste is dominated by the tart green apple and pear flavored Belgian yeast. I also get some light malt and earthy hops. The mouth is moderately carbonated, crisp, and refreshing.

DATE: June 11, 2016... GLASSWARE: La Fin du Monde tulip... OCCASION: enjoying the night of a long, fruitful day--graduation, K of C Grand Knights' dinner, fireworks....pours a hazy grapefruit orange yellow, that is dense and effervescent, if you strain enough to see it... the snow white head webs copiously, with palpable lacing... crater-like middle mesa sits staunchly... a pleasure to behold... vibrant mango and grapefruit... at first sip, a powerful, full-bodied sip, that settles on the tongue and manifests its strength at the teeth... puckering and vibrant... requires sipping, as the impact is pungent.... lemon and pepper adds to the profile, with a musky, dank base... the Centennial develops a citric kick that makes this a nice blend of the IPA and the saison... bitter, orange ending... a late, malty base allows for some serious heft... overall, a nice nightcap for an afternoon of Leinekugels... lingers long after the sip, and encourages the next sip...

My old neighbor and good friend got me this one. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had hints of citrus peel and flowers. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. There was a nice floral tone with citrus peel accent. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall maybe my favorite farmhouse ale.

Pours an effervescent honey color with 3 fingers of eggshell colored head. Some hazing, stays effervescent, great lacing with very good head retention, a few floaties though

S: Yeasty, a little pear

T: Yeasty, a little floral hop action with dryness, a little grapefruit pith up front. Crackeryness & dryness as this warms, some grassiness, a ,little phenol & lemon, plus some pear. Finishes with grapefruit, pear, dryness & a touch of lemongrass & phenol

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation, alright balance

Drinks okay, was hoping for way more, 2 months old, so doom on me I guess. I would love to know why I can't find fresh Schlaflys in SW Missouri any more

7/20....pours hazy, but bright, gold. Light white foam. Ring remains. Yeasty citrus funky nose. Earthy, some bubblegum hints too. Sharp citrus tart taste backed by a wheat based flavor. Funky off center bitter. There is a pine edginess to the bitter flavor. Truly feels like a saison based IPA.

Much more of a Belgian than an IPA of any sort

Far from an IPA, but tasty nonetheless. Tastes like a really nice, fruity Saison that's been mildly dry hopped. Very easy to drink.

Bottle was older than I hoped at about 75 days, but I thought this beer held up very well. Tasty and very much resembles a hybrid between saison and IPA. Nice.

This was a very interesting and refreshing take on an IPA. I'm a huge fan of both Farmhouse style ales and India Pale Ales as well. I loved the way this beer managed to blend the strong hop flavors with the spiciness and strong yeast flavors that you expect from Farmhouse Ale.
