Dark brown to dark copper colored with a fingernail of beige around the rim and covering a quarter of the top. The aroma is of pumpkin pie spice, light rum, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I'm tasting pumpkin pie spice, light rum, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The mouth is a bit boozy, warm with alcohol, and moderately spiced.

11.2. OZ bottle. I had it in a side by side with their regular pumpkin ale (2017). I wrote this a day after having had both beers

They looked basically the same; the aroma was a bit different; there was a vanilla note that was more prominent than in the regular ale (and perhaps a faint oak-y note), and the mouthfeel was a bit more satisfying (although I love the creamy mouthfeel of the regular as well).

Overall, it was very similar to the pumpkin ale. albeit a bit more complex and a little stronger on the alcohol. I thought it was better than the regular, but for me, at more than twice the price of the regular it is hard to justify buying it. Still, a really good pumpkin beer, and better priced than just about any bomber of barrel-aged ales.

A 330ml bottle dated 10:2017 poured in a 12 oz. snifter.

Look- Pours a dark orange almost light brown producing a half inch of off white foam that quickly settles leaving no lacing behind.

Smell- The usual pumpkin pie spices of nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and a little vanilla. A hint of oak in the back.

Taste- Cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, vanilla and very mild bourbon. There's some noticeable oak in the finish.

Feel- Thin and slightly oily with a little burn from the alcohol and spices.

Overall- A very drinkable pumpkin ale that lacks any serious barrel presence except for the oak. The label states barrel aged with no mention of spirit, so perhaps it was just an oak barrel? I'd love a little bourbon or rum infusion, but that aside it's still a good beer.

Pours a dark burgundy with a finger of khaki head on top. Fair head retention with no lacing left behind. Aroma is pumpkin, dark spices, and plum. It has a resoundingly great pumpkin pie spice not to it. Flavor profile is pumpkin and spices which work for form a liquid homemade pumpkin pie flavor profile. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a filling, smooth, slightly grainy texture. Overall, it drinks like a homemade pumpkin pie. Strong notes of pumpkin and spices, but without coming off brash, or artificial.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz bottle.

S: huge pumpkin pie spices and crust. A nice combo of sweet pie and buttery crust
T: straight pumpkin pie with a splash of booze. Love it!
F: thin but crushable.
