Enjoyed on-tap @ the Schlafly Tap Room in St. Louis, MO for $4.50 Tapped from the Stainless Steel/Black Tap Handle into a 16oz Nonic Glass. This beer brewed for this past (2012) Earth Day.

Aroma- Very distinct Columbus hops upfront and very appropriate use of them. Malt is well balanced in the aroma and has a definite sweet finish.

Appearance- Received with a 1 finger head that has average retention. Has a medium orange, light copper colored body with great clarity. Leaves a thick strand of lacing behind.

Flavor- Malty and clean with well blended hops. Not sure the variety but Columbus comes around again. May have centennial or galaxy? Light Bitterness on the finish.

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Smooth, and has a sweet finish with tons of malt lasting character left on the palate.

Overall Impression- Since it came out, I've been enjoying both from friend's Growlers and on-tap multiple times! This guy is a must try if you find yourself at either Schlafly location. Very clean and true to style. Enjoy!

According to the bartender at their brewery, the same recipe as their standard Pale Ale but brewed with all organic ingredients for Earth Day.

Light spicy hop aroma and lots of crystal malt. Very well balanced between malt and hops. Some estery yeast aroma too.

Nice amber colored, very clear with a good lasting head.

Nice bitter start and then a malty sweetness through the finish. There's a little bit of hop flavor mid palate. Mostly grassy type hop flavors but there's a little citrus in there. When I get halfway through a pint it gets less hoppy and what I'm really picking up is grain flavors. Almost like a chewing on a pinch of unmashed grains.

Medium bodied and very good delicate carbonation that [lays around on your tongue.

Overall drinkability is O.K. It's a good enough beer but I wasn't crazy about it. It could be a session beer but I think the flavor kind of fades away as it warms up so I want to get through it faster than a session beer would allow.

Had on tap at the Bottleworks. This is brewed for Earth Day.

A - pours a nice pale copper with pretty much no head

S - smells of some grainy and cereal malt with some pepper

T - taste follows the nose. There is a nice malt (cereal and a little bit of toast), which is followed by a little bit of spice and pepper. Almost tastes like a spicy pale ale.

M - nice full body with good carbonation

D - not a bad effort. I like the idea of an organic beer...if it was bottled I would buy it just for that reason. This is different tasting than their regular pale ale, so its worth a try if you can get it on tap. Pale ales usually aren't the most exciting beers out there, but this one was interesting enough to hold my taste.
