The first beer we have brewed in collaboration with O'Fallon and New Albanian. We used cherry-wood smoked malt and rye in the brew, aged it on oak, and then dry hopped it with lots of big American aroma hops.

A - Poured out a clear, bubbly, golden orange color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left thin rings of sticky lace on the glass.

S - It smelled incredibly smoky with citrusy notes.

T - It tasted very smoky and woody with sharp caramel notes. It had mild citrus kick with just a touch of bitterness. The smoke flavor was not nearly as strong as the aroma.

M - It was crisp and sharp with a dry finish. A medium-bodied ale.

D - This beer defies classification, as a smoked rye pale ale. It terms of taste and aroma it's all over the place, too. One of my friends who sampled it called it "more interesting than good". It is certainly worth trying for a unique beer experience.
