This was different but not bad. The rye flavoring is a nice unique touch. I would not rush out to get it again, though.

Straw yellow to gold in color with a quarter inch of creamy brilliant white on top. Light lacing. The aroma is of tropical hops and spicy to earthy rye. I'm tasting a well balanced amount of spicy earthy rye and tropical hops. The mouth is light, crisp, and pure.

12 oz bottled "with love" on 3/7/17 7.2% ABV poured into a Schlafly stange glass. The beer is golden yellow and just a bit hazy. Head is cream colored and persistent with beautiful lacing. Smell is grapefruit and rind with just a touch of earthiness. Taste follows smell with grapefruit, citrus rind, and tropical flavor giving way to earthy bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is solid, smooth and creamy with moderate carbonation. Overall, very good beer from Schlafly. Recommended

Came out to me in a small imperial pint. Thin film of bright white head, and has a cleanly filtered copper colored body.

Aroma is sour apple, caramel, and floral hops with metallic hints.

Sweet upfront with a touch of toffee, then blends in with herbal/lemon, finishing off with bitter grapefruit.

Feels medium in body, a little dry, and leaves the palate dry.
