Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.50%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Our IPA is a session IPA, a smooth golden ale packed with the bold flavor and aroma of American hops. We crafted it in the spirit of the low gravity IPAs common in the UK where the style stands for hoppy, not heavy.

India Pale Ales (IPAs) were first brewed in England during the late 1700s for export overseas to British soldiers in India. To keep their beer from spoiling during the long voyage, English brewers fortified their traditional pale ale recipes with hops as a natural preservative. Today, the term IPA is used for many full flavored beers along a wide array of recipes.

Poured into a 12oz beer mug.

At $6.50 a six pack of cans I had to try it out.

look:pours a translucent amber colour which is common to IPA's Actually abit on the light side but its a lighter beer so thats expected. The head dissipates very quickly

Smell: light lemon tea kind of scent with a malty base.

Taste: Malty with a nice meyer lemon kind of flavor. More citric than bitter.

feel: Light and very easy to drink. I find myself finishing this beer very quickly as its incredibly quenching though it dries out the mouth just a bit.

overall: Just call this a pale ale guys, thats what it tastes like to me. Nothing offensive about it and its an easy drinking craft brew which is incredibly cheap for the quality of the brew so I will probably be getting more of this as its a great summer brew. Good Macro-brew replacement for those who like bitter beers.

Home 5/3/15

Clean crisp drinkable IPA. Nice amount of hop backbone to a low alcohol brew. One of the better sessions out there.

A really solid beer for 4.5% abv. I enjoyed at a festival with other summer beers. No lack of nose and hop flavor. Nice mouthfeel and finish. Drink up!

I was surprisingly pleased by this one!

Poured into a glass, a nice pale, cloudy orange/copper color. Only about a quarter to half inch head upon pour, dissipates pretty quickly. Lacing remains around the edges all the way down though. Little hoppy particulates suspended in the mix.

The smell was minimal but piney and hoppy.

The taste was surprising for a session IPA such as this. I did not expect so much flavor to come from this brew, it was quite pleasing for what it is. This is not going to sock you in the mouth like some of the higher ABV IPA's and DIPA's, but it is filled with a great deal of hoppy, piney goodness. Very little malt just to help offset the hops, but this is definitely a hop forward IPA.

Mouth feel was light and a very smooth drinking experience. I could see tossing a few of these back pretty easily.

Overall, this was awesome for what it is. This may just be my new camping/float trip/party/fill a cooler/grab and go beer. I have been looking for an excellent canned IPA that has good flavor, lower calories and ABV, and is easily attainable. This one fits the bill.
