ESB (Strong Bitter) pours a dark amber color, clean, with a larger, long-lasting head. The aroma is spicey, with a hint of dish water. The flavor is filled with spices, with a mild bitter. Good body and feel. Overall, a spicey ESB, with some nice, and yet unique flavors.

Primarily attacks the middle taste buds with a slightly caramely but more heavily bitter bite. It'll go down smooth, drinking like a darker red or amber ale . An amazing looking, and fairly easy drinking brew.

Medium chestnut, with some orange overtones and amber highlights. Not much aroma. A bit of caramelized medium toast malt. Smooth, nearly sweet, creamy start, then a little woody edge, with a little sweet spiced, medium toast, caramelized malt flavor. Enjoyable, balanced, off-dry, spiced caramel malt finish.

a touch sweeter than i generally want this style to be, there is a light maple or molasses linger to it, full of flavor and tasty overall, but it heavies up a beer i just want to be able to drink a bunch of, and as much as i like this, it really could stand to be dried out a bit more. i always wonder if the brewer in an instance like this is hampered by the utah legal abv limit for draft, like they wanted to ferment this out to say 6% abv instead of 5%, but cant, and so the beer is just sweeter. seems like less grain would also do the trick, but its only been a month or so for these guys, this is likely still a first batch, and im sure they will dial it in over time. that said, its also quite possible they just wanted to make a sweeter beer, as this is technically just fine. its not quite as classically english to me on the fermentation side as the best of them, but there is a nice nutty and baked and old worldy malt depth to it. faint astringency, brown sugar at the end, and fine carbonation thankfully. decent beer, nothing to get too excited about, but it drinks. awesome space and nice people here, a cool addition to the local scene, they should do well!
