Served from tap in a Maisel's weizen glass at Firkin.

I vaguely remember having tried this a couple years ago, but it never hurts to revisit a German hef, right? It pours a cloudy tawny-brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises banana, clove, and mild flowers. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a healthy dose of orange zest. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a damn solid hef, not quite up to Wiehenstephaner or even Hofbrau standards, but more than tasty enough to readily reach for another.

One of the betters Hefe brewed in Germany. Not to be bought everywhere, but if you spot it, go for it.

Nice taste, not too heavy, not too light, but still full bodied.

One of my favourites among Hefe.

A lovely fluffy off-white head with a lovely deep amber and cloudy beer underneath it. Very smooth to taste and gulp . Slightly higher carbonation than is perfect but it's still really drinkable, nontheless. The thing that lets this beer down and leads to it not rivaling the kings of the weissbier world is the flavour of the beer. It just doesn't have the depth of banana, yeast or other obvious tastes of its rivals. It's still a lovely beer to drink but it just can't compete with others for pure taste.

Poured from a 500 M bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- A fantastic aroma of wheat, fruit and spices Appearance- Pours a murky orange/gold color with a thick, off-white head. Taste- Outstanding, what a hefeweizen should taste like. Great wheat and fruit mix. Palate- A medium to heavy beer with moderate carbonation. Has a creamy texture. Overall- A fantastic beer, a must try.

Pours cloudy dark amber beer with enormous off-white head, retention is as long as life of an elf. Smell is excellent, round, to a good extent spicy, banana, wheat malts, a bit stale, like from cellar and even smoky.
Taste is classic for hefeweizens, round, balanced. One of the best weissbiers out there.

0,5 l bottle into a weizen pokal. Hazy amber body, big fluffy white head with some lacing. Yeasty and wheaty smell with notes of banana, clove and bubblegum. Sweet first taste of malt and wheat followed by yeasty banana and bubblegum, dry finish with clove and peppery spiciness, yeasty aftertaste. Medium body, high but soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, very drinkable. Overall a good hefeweizen but not the best within the style. Nice flavor, a bit sweeter than usual, went down well with bratwurst and sauerkraut.
