Poured from a 500 ML bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a great fruit smell mixed with spices and hops Appearance- Pours a clear, light gold. with a large white head. Taste- I love the flavor, I noticed many think this is average, but this is a go to beer for me. Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation Overall- one of my all time favorite beers.

Drank a bunch of these in half pint handles at the Germania Club in Newcastle. Poured crystal clear with a nice head laden with phenolics. Immediate and intense banana aroma that was like a banana malt milkshake. The taste had perfectly balanced banana/malt/clove that was consistent to the end. I can't say how it stacks up against Weihenstphan and others without side by side tasting but this Maisel gives seriously good competition. We had this with Schlattesplatte and mustard bread and there was much merriment. Brilliant!

This is one of the best Weisse i have ever tasted. Poured in my Paulaner glass the beer shows itself from its best side. In the tall glass the beer looks perfect. Crystal clear.

A nice big fluffy head which only slowly disappears. Light yellow fluid with nice carbonation.

The is a lightsweet smell, fruits like banana and fresh smells like citrus.

The taste is very good, allmost perfection. Every sip is a pleasure. Wish i had bought some more!!

Ah well, there is always a next time that i visit Germany.

This pours a bright straw colour with a generous head with some good retention.

The aromas are dominated by cloves with a touch of banana hiding in there as well.

A mouthful of all the flavours I love in a good wheat beer - cloves and bananas.

Lots of carbonation gives it a big mouthfeel.

One of the best beers I've had for a while. Love it.

The beer pours a beautifully clear straw color, with a huge foamy head that slowly dissolves into some tight lacing.

The smell is dominated by cloves, the bananna doesn't seem to be present. There is a little cereal maltiness present as well, little to no alcohol present in nose.

The taste follows along the same lines. It is extremely well balanced, the bananna shows itself much more. The clove is still present.

The mouthfeel is excellent, crisp, refreshing...just the right amount of lingering sweetness.

I could drink this until the cows come home. Especially for the cheap cheap price. Very nice.

Newish arrival in our market, though Maisel's Weisse used to be here a few years ago.

Into a weizen glass, it billows up some and puffs above the rim at first. It's a bright, high-clarity honey gold, with racing carbonation streams. Kristalweizen is unnaturally clear through filtration, but it's a nice looking beer, with strong head retention. Personally I prefer the cloudy, opaque orange of a traditional Hefe.

Sweet earthy wheat aroma, some clove and bready spices. Seems a touch muted, though I don't know the age of the bottle. Sweet and bready flavors, more spicy clove, and maybe a tiny bit of oxidation. Not a dealbreaker though, this is a nice quaffer in warm weather. Verging on creamy, and generously carbonated.

A style seldom seen in the states, not too different from regular Hefes besides the appearance.

500mL bottle into a here glass
Bottle number: 17 L 14 (whatever that means)

A: Crystal clear (see what I did there), very pale light yellow, 3+ fingers width of dense bright white head which has great retention before dissipating down but leaves only a few small patches of lacing. 4

S: Banana and clove, wheat, spice, ton of fruity esters, really great nose. 4.25

T: Like the nose, lots of fruity esters. Banana is prominent, spice is much more tame with just some clove, lots of wheat characters. 4

M/D: Medium body, carbonation on the heavier side but is appropriate, its quite filling for a low ABV beer. 4

O: Enjoyable beer. I’d have this one again. 4

Sorry but this following comment is in french :

Appearance : bière de froment à la robe claire, beau chapeau de mousse, belle effervescence
Smell : nez de froment, nuances de zeste de citron
Taste and mouthfeel : arôme fruité très frais et à la finale nerveuse très rafraîchissante
Drinkability : une bonne bière dans le style kristal weizen

This is a gorgeous light gold in colour which I managed to pour with ahuge foamy head atop a vigorous effervescence.
Smelling of wheat and mild cloves as expected it is not overpowering .
Strangely the cloves dont come through on the palatebecause there is a real berry flavour there I am thinking raspberry to strawberry flavours. It is reasonably sweet.
The sweetness is apparent in the mouth as it is soft and smooth but manages an adequate amount of sharpness.
This sweetness drifts towards what I tatse as European Pale Lager maltiness which is this beers only possible downside.
It is a fruity Weiss that speaks to me of summer time refreshment and a beer that I would drink again

Fine foamy head on a light golden and transparent body. The beer’s highly carbonated. Very good smell, wheat, banana, citrus and sweetness. Some aromas also remind me of a Belgian triple. There’s something very surprising in the taste: first, you get everything you could expect from the smell, a refreshing wheat aspect , a nice banana flavor, sweet hints of citrus, yeast. And then, suddenly, it all disappears. Nothing remains. And then you get a very very thin hoppy aftertaste, but it’s quickly gone too. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

had this bier from a 1/2 litre bottle.

A: Pours a clearm yelloish color with a decent head with minimal lacing. Moderate carbonation. One can read through the bier...reminds me of a good pilsner look.
S: crisp, mild hops, fresh scent that is pleasing and inviting.
T: Rather understated, but that fits with the style of bier. Mod crispness, a pleasing taste.
M: A little dry after taste, nothing harsh or over bearing.
D: Easy to drink, a good flavor that keeps you coming back.

Overall, a good bier but not a great one. It is easy to drink and is a wonderful session bier. I do recommend this bier, enjoy, Prosit.

one of my favorites while stationed in Babenhausen Germany in the Army. I spend many sunday nights spit shining my boots and pressing my BDUs while drinking this.

I used to be a big fan of this type of brew but i have moved on to IPAs,

good stuff. Wish i had some now.

Filtered to within an inch of its life, pours like a perfect wheat, rich burnished gold with a creamy white head though slightly coarser than I'd like. Buttery bananas on the nose that carries through to the flavour along with a hint of caramel. Carbonation is moderate and mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Quite refreshing but perhaps a little too aged.
