Golden in color. Clear in appearance. Lightly toasted grain, hay, grass and earthy noble hops. Light bodied, highly carbed. Nice lingering bitterness. Super refreshing. Solid beer.

Light gold, yellow in color. Higher clarity. Straw, harvest grains. More mid-bodied, yet still refreshing. Perfect beer for a warm autumn afternoon.

Delicious. Gold in color, little bread and crackers on the nose, maybe a touch of sweetness. Really nice. I brought this into my bar for a few regulars to try and they loved it. Highly recommend this beer!

My new favorite German import. Privat has a wonderful, clean, classic helles flavor. It’s well bodied without being heavy with white latticed head and a malty aroma.

11.2 oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.

Stunning pale yellow clarity with a good looking head on top. Very clean with only a hint of cooked veggies, grassy throughout with a very mild herbal hop character. Hop bitterness is modest but is more than enough to balance. An exceptional showing of this style of beer, could easily knock back mugs of this.

Nearly clear with a light golden color. Modest head but it leaves a lattice of lace.

Palest of malt smells with a slight aroma of unmalted barley grain.

Round mouthfeel with a subdued effervescence. Lightly sweet with the aforementioned graininess showing up strongest. The hop is nearly missing with just enough to prevent the brew from being completely one sided. Short and clean aftertaste.

The colour is pale yellow; the liquid clear. The two finger head is white and compact and it sinks to a thick lid leaving no lacing on the glass.

The smell is fresh with bitter hops, sweet cereals and a hint of butter in the background.

The taste is quite bitter with very clean notes of pilsner malt, noble bitter hops, sweet müsli cereals and a touch of minerals. Light to medium body. The aftertaste is clean with sweet dough/French loaf, and floral hops. The finish is mild with sweetness and bitter hops (clean like hop extract).

The carbonation is strong; the many small bubbles tickles the tongue. The liquid is semi-smooth.

A solid lager. Bitterer than the average München helles, but not as caramel-malty as the standard Dortmunder Export.

From the 11.2 oz bottle in a snifter. This fine dortmunder pours a clear golden color with a nice head of white dissipating foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and light lacing. Nose of pilsner malts, apples, subtle honey, and light grains. Flavors follow the nose with honey and subtle yeast notes on the front and middle of the taste, subtle grain notes hit on the rear with a touch of apple and finish off with a subtle herbal hop. Balanced and delicious. Nice mouth feel, refreshing and well rounded with a lightly sweet subtly bitter aftertaste. Excellence from Germany.

Cheers
