Pale, straw yellow body; excellent carbonation; 1 1/2 finger thick head, soapy. Pleasantly bold aroma; mild sweetness with a touch of pear and light honey. Delicately balanced taste; feathery malt sweetness with a soft touch of hop bitterness; light esters round things out. Light body, soft and pleasant on the palate; delicate sweetness to the body.

In my estimation, this is more along the lines of a German pilsner as the delicate roundness of the light malt and hop flavors strongly suggest the balance found in the German pilsner style. However one wants to classify this beer, one will experience and soft, delicate, yet subtly complex light beer.

Poured at 53 °F; no canning date noted on the can.

super light and clean, majorly sessionable, but without being thin, watery, bland, our soulless, so i would say mission accomplished for something named lake beer, although as a pils, i definitely prefer the italian style one they did with whistle punk, this is lighter on all fronts, less body, less hops, but i can still taste the yeast coming through, and it seems quite traditional, just mellow all around, very summery and highly quaffable! crystal clear and beer colored yellow, fizzy white head active throughout. it smells like a pils, the yeast and the noble hops, something faintly european to the grain too, although this is awfully minimal on the malt side. its the minerals and the freshness that stand out to me in the taste, like some care was taken with the water profile here, the apparent attention to detail pays off, this is expertly crisp and quenching on each sip, which are actually more like gulps for me with this one. high carbonation, some lightly limey hops at the end but tastefully dosed, this would be agreeable beer for just about anyone who likes the beverage in any form. mass appeal sure, but its super dialed in too, and its good to see more and more craft operations making this sort of thing, especially for the hot weather. im all in.
