Pours a nice, plum-hued brown with two fingers of creamy, dark tan head. Decent retention and moderate lacing.

Traditional aroma with coffee, chocolate and toffee notes.

Light chocolate and some underlying fruitiness in the taste. A hint of coffee in the finish. Not quite as robust in the flavor as the nose suggested, but still enjoyable.

Full bodied and creamy for the style with slow-building carbonation.

A well-made, very drinkable brown.

Beer pours a nice cola color, only slightly lighter than a stout. Foam fairly tan. Solid aroma! Roasty-toasty-maltiness and all of the aromas that go along with that (coffee, chocolate, etc).

This beer is a wonderful example of a British style brown. Bonus point for using locally sourced malts.

I'm no cicerone, but I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. Again, just the perfect amount of toastiness. Easily quaffable, you'll get a bit of coffee and a bit of cola. Nothing over the top, just a well balanced brew! A great beer for a socially distanced bonfire this autumn.
