12oz can. Bottom stamp reads 'C104 1115R'. Just made available after an absence of more than a year.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of off white head, retreats to thin cap. Leaves behind strings and splotches of lacing.
Aroma of orange, pineapple, and minor notes of pine.
Taste has some bitterness but this arrives midway along, and then a sweetness comes in to create a balance. Citrus of orange and grapefruit, and some pineapple help to create the sweeter flavor. Late in the aftertaste there is some citrus pith.
More than medium mouth feel. Soft texture. Drying finish. Higher ABV% is absolutely well hidden. Very good carbonation.
I am glad to see this made and released again. I always enjoyed this brew in the past. Softer overall experience that with most higher ABV% IPAs.

Poured from a 12oz can into a glass. Looks a citrus hazy orange with minimal head. Tastes smooth with dry hops. Very smooth and has hint of citrus almost resembles pineapple and orange notes. Not overpowering and well brewed! Hard to get your hands on this and I know why now.

Appearance: Pours a moderately hazy (40% clarity) deep, rich, and bright medium orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 9-10. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, tangerine with some resinous berry and melon underneath. Some nectarine as well. A resinous sweet malt aroma underneath.

Flavor: Strong flavors of resinous orange, tangerine, clementine, nectarine and stonefruit. Some resinous notes. A sweet body circles back to the sweet orange which lingers on the finish. Resinous, but a surprisingly, relatively dry finish.

Feel: Heavier-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Leans sweet, but surpassingly drier than expected. A deceptively clean mouthfeel. Hides the alcohol extremely well.

Compared to Stone Ruination 2/2024: Pours lighter and hazier , similar head. Milder aromas. Less bitter and dank pine and grapefruit. More orange, tangerine, melon, and berry. More sweet and smooth and less bitter.

Overall: Usually not a fan of imperial IPAs. This one could change my mind a bit. The body is near perfect. The flavors won't wow you but are there. Finishes surprisingly dry, and hiding the alcohol completely. Dangerously drinkable. Maybe the flavor could be more robust, but drinks so much better than most imperial IPAs. (Rating: 4.03)

Bottle poured into a New Glarus footed Pilsener glass

Hazy Arnold Palmer iced tea appearance capped by a solid white two finger foam cap. Very good retention, settles to a puffy island .

Faint malty aroma, citrus pith, grapefruit, orange

Taste is grapefruit pith, citrus , tangerine, white grape

Low sudsing, medium mouthfeel, bit of booziness , hop nibble on the finish

Good beer

Pours a beautiful lighter golden That's semi hazy with a medium-sized white head that dissipates quickly. The smell is dominated by a tropical mango smell with hints of citrus and pine at the end. The taste follows the nose but has a somewhat rich caramel maltiness to it that perfectly compliments the tropical and citrus flavors with a piney finish that's far from bitter and not overly sweet. It's finely carbonated and doesn't feel sticky or heavy like other dipas. This one goes down so smoothly it's one of the only dipas that I could drink all 4 in one sitting. Overall one of the best I've had.

12oz bottle - review is from notes

This pours up hazy but no chunks. Smells overbearingly piney. The taste is also full-on pine tar. Goes down easy and masks the alcohol decent enough

Pales in comparison to other DIPAs, but is still a solid drink

poured from a 12oz bottle into a central waters snifter. pours a foggy orange with a two finger off-white foam head. this one leans more west coast with its heavy pine and light citrus but it’s not as malty as the appearance would have you believe. instead, it’s thicker and with a very soft mouthfeel. quite pleasant despite the heavy hop bitterness. very much enjoyed this offering.
