Notes / Commercial Description:
Treat yourself to a rare delight. The voluminous raspberry bouquet will greet you long before your lips touch your glass. Serve this Wisconsin framboise very cold in a champagne flute. Then hold your glass to a light and enjoy the jewel-like sparkle of a very special ale.
Oregon proudly shares their harvest of mouth watering berries, which we ferment spontaneously in large oak vats. Then we employ Wisconsin farmed wheat and year old Hallertau hops to round out this extravaganza of flavor.

This was another beer from New Glarus that I traded for recently and took a while to get to. Every aspect of raspberry was present here as the tartness and juice of that fruit could felt from start to finish. If it was possible to ferment it and have it for dessert, this would be the likely end result. It was just a shame that I didn't have a champagne glass to pour this into!

25oz bomber (code:262 A3 1159)
Poured into a fluted pilsner glass boasts a deep red body and floats a 1in pinkish medium bubble head.
Aroma is all crisp tart raspberry and a slight cidery/fermentation smell.
Flavor is a sweetish tart raspberry.
Mouthfeel is the best quality, if there must be one. Medium body, full oily coating, and a clean dry finish.

Overall a great beer for enjoying out on the deck/lanai in this almost summer heat.

Huge fan of NG fruit beer--who isn't?-- so let's see how this one measures up.

Poured from a bomber--no date.

A vigorous pour gives a healthy two-tan-pink head. Beer is cloudy and dark red. Not as thick looking as strawberry rhubarb but similar. Some nice lacing.

Smell is straight up raspberries. Lots of tartness and lots of sweetness.

Taste is sweeter than I was expecting. There is a hint of tartness but the raspberries really make this one sweet. Reminds of picking raspberries off the bush as a kid.

Feel is so juicy and refreshing. Medium carbonation, a it less than I was expecting but I prefer it that way.

Overall, delicious. The perfect beer for a hot summer afternoon like today. I will say I prefer Strawberry Rhubarb to this 7/10 times but this is a sweeter and more mellow treat. Not a whole lot of complexity but this beer is simply mouthwatering.

Pours a very dark, muddy red with a pinkish, foamy head that settled quickly with a few chunky islands. Where's the "sparkle"? Am I missing something? Nose is nice and smells sweet and jammy, though thankfullly, the taste is more balanced. Nice tartness, but not at alll overwhelming. Like all NG beers, the flavors are balanced and subdued. Nice mouthfeel, but would be better served by a more biting, champagne-like carbonation. Nice, refreshing, but reminds me of a refined Fruli, rather than something decidedly world class.

Pours a very dark ruby colour. Smells like a slightly tart, very sweet raspberry jam. Tastes quite sweet, slightly tart, thick raspberry jam, slightly syrupy.

Tastes like tart raspberry jam. I heard it was sweet, and it was - so I'm glad I shared it with friends. Nice, refreshing low-abv beer, excellent as a dessert! 750ml is a bit much, but if you share the bottle it isn't a problem. Recommended!
