This living beer is Dan’s bold Hopped Wheat creation. You hold the return of Crack’d Wheat the marriage of a sophisticated Bavarian Hefeweiss and an American Pale Ale. Amarillo dry hopping consorts with Wisconsin Red Wheat. Traditional Open Top fermentation cultivates our proprietary Bavarian Weiss yeast in our dedicated Wheat Beer Cellar. Absolutely 100% natural bottle conditioned this is a Living beer.
Expect to pour a thick creamy aromatic head. Savor the fierce onslaught of clove, cinnamon, and citrus to your nose. Cheers to discovery and friend.

I'm genuinely a bit surprised by the *relatively* low marks awarded this beer by the community, as I find it pretty exceptional—a really on-point execution of a style between styles. Wonderful burnished-flax color; furious, fat bubbles throughout; thick, pillowy off-taupe head; tremendous lacing; dry, citric-hop aromatics, with flashes of lemongrass and lemon-oil, hints of orange peel, and a sort of funky wet-hay valence; great mouthfeel, with a measured mixture of weiss-yeast bite and billowing wheat-informed creaminess; and a great combination of flavors, with spicy, velvety wheat, grapefruit bitters, dry grass, wet, immature pine-nettles, clove (they I don't personally pick up any cinnamon), and Kaffir lime leaf all swirling in this refreshing gyre, glued together pleasantly acerbic tart kick impelled by the key inoculation of New Glarus' trusty house weiss yeast.
And the bottle's lovely to boot.

I don't prefer hoppy beer, and I don't believe that mixture of clove, cinnamon and citrus mix well. It leaves a lingering aftertaste that is not pleasant
