Bottle from a friend, this was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a soft golden yellow color with a thin white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some crisp sweet soft corn, touch of biscuits, and a hint of flour/soft dough.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the blend of the prior noted aromas. Pretty smooth doughy to corn sweet aftertaste.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a clear sessionability about it. Finishes fairly smooth, sweet and clean. Carbonation felt great with a spot on ABV.
Overall, nice Americanized "Wisconsin farmhouse cream ale" well worthy of coming back to.

Ah, the legendary Spotted Cow finally makes its way into my glass. Thanks K-bess! 12 oz bottle pours a hazed, light orange color with a fine-bubbled white head. Nice retention and lace!

Nose is sweet, cereal maltiness, fruity yeast and a homespun earthiness to it. If only all cream ales could smell this nice!

Taste is wonderful creamy malt - with the yeast really doing some heavy lifting with an applesauce fruitiness that compliments so well. It starts sweet, but the carbonation and a little bitter hop zip at the end clean things up perfectly and invite you for another gulp. Just a delicious, refreshing beer that Im not sure I could ever get tired of if it was sold here. The mouthfeel is outstanding - the uber-fine carbonation gives it a really tingly, full bodied feel. Im pretty confident in saying this is the best cream ale I have ever had.

First smell made me think this was going to be a very light tasting beer, with little to no great flavors. The color is honey golden, No head was present. Taste is sweet and a good surprise. Follow up tastes carried the fruity flavors.
