tried this from the very last bottle they had at great lakes brewfest. poured cloudy and orange with a foamy white head. nice lacing in there. smelled spicy. mmmm. tastes weakly of cloves, wheat and belgian yeast. old bananas. nice and smooth. a fair to good offering from N.G.

The beer pours to a chill hazed copper color, the head is large and frothy, light tan in color with a thick and sticky sheet of lace to drape the glass. Nose is banana like, sweet, crisp and clean, a real treat, with the start sweet and loaded with malt, top a bit thin. Finish is mild in its carbonation the hops pleasant and mildly spicy, a fine drinking beer to be sure.

Cherrywood in color...pours a little charged up...settles into a one-inch frothy head..a sweet dopplebock style nose...highly carbonated mouthfeel...smooth...subtle malt sweetness...a nice tasty easy drinking dark wheat...one of my favorite styles and one I'd like to see more breweries try...

Appearance is a slight hazed/slight murky mahogony. Good head. I get a little chocolate malt on the nose and some slight yeasty fruity notes typical of Bavarian Weizen yeast strains. Weizen characteristics are evident on the first sip. Fruity, slight vanilla and banana, phenolic character and some slight dark roasted malt tones. Very drinkable. Not quite as tasty as the Hacker-Schorr that I recently enjoyed, but very good nonetheless.
