Notes / Commercial Description:
Settle in with Wisconsin's Snowshoe Ale. This beer is brewed with a blend of American and German malts. We also infuse generous amounts of hops from Slovenia and the Great Pacific Northwest to add a special note of warmth for your winter evening's enjoyment.

Expect this beer to be a beautiful copper-red, with a fruity ale body and a spiced hop finish. Then sit back and rejoice in the season because it's these Wisconsin winters that keep the whiners out.

Comes in like a red ale alright, red in color. 1/2" beige/off white colored small bubbled head. Aroma of red malts, earthen woodiness.

Taste is straightforward red malts traditional mild hopping. This is a real normal beer, kind of the red ale counterpart to their flagship spotted cow, its just a consistent if not kinda bland for them beer that keeps the lights on (sells in volume). I'd pretty much always recommend this to a friend who is a traditional red ale drinker. Where it excels I guess is that the mouthfeel tends to be a bit more appropriate (thicker) than some of the mass produced ones. Slight more hop mouthfeel too.

Brilliant copper tinted amber, smooth, fruity, rich, malty with some caramel notes. Medium body and carbonation. The hops are mild but it is full flavored and easy to drink.

Reddish amber in color with excellent clarity. A fingernail of off white head covers the rim and half of the top. Aroma is of caramel and biscuity malt. The flavor is caramel and lightly sweet amber malt with a gentle bitterness from some German hops at the back of the palate. The mouth is dry and smooth.

From notes on 1/14/14

Light red color. Pretty strong fruity malty smell. Nice light crisp flavor. Great balance of malt and hops. Just a touch of fruitiness. Very smooth and refreshing.
