Poured from bottle into a New Glarus flute.

A: Pours a nice, cloudy pale gold with a huge white head that retains well.

S: Floral notes, lemon zest, typical wheat beer aroma, some tartness towards the end.

T: Delicious! Sour, white grape, green apple, lemon character. Smooth wheat in the finish.

M: Dry and light in body.

O: A perfect, warm weather refresher. The taste is quite complex for such a light-bodied beer, but it works magnificently.

Syndicate hooked me up with this gem tonight as I was walking out of the Summer Funkfest tasting.... Thanks a bunch Darrel!!

Poured into my Funkfest goblet... pale hazy straw colored brew.. nice white head with good lacing.

Nose is a proper Berliner... floral and lemony... hints of wheat.. smells nicely acidic.

Flavor is fantastic... big clean lactic/lemon wedge acidity combines with a light wheat malt essence.. long and lingering lemon on the finish.

Light body with spritzy high carbonation ... the residual maltiness weighs it down slightly IMHO... but I am nitpicking.

This is amazingly drinkable... I could sup this one all day or at least until my gut broke down or the cavities drove me away.

Thanks again Darrel... I appreciate it!!

It is a sour, very carbonated, very pale beer. It is sold in 4 packs as a special, premium beer.

For me Hacker Pschorr is how a weiss beer should be. I've tried many, many weiss beers, it's one of the great things in summer. I couldn't drink this.

Got a bottle from a friend, and I'm very grateful. This is among the best berliner weiss ales, domestic or import, I've tried. The aroma has a tart orange and raspberry character with hints of vanilla and cream. The flavor expands with grainy oak barrel touches that join the vanilla with sharp, acidic white grapes. This is a subtle, but crisp beer with an impressive depth of flavor and a wonderfully balanced sour tang to the light, bready sweetness. Find this beer.

Huge head even in a wheat glass. Cloudy yellow and very white cap. Lots of lacing and rocky settling.
Quite tart in aroma and definitely more than most. It's almost striking, and moves towards a little funk (lactic and Brett). Some wheat sharpness and a prickliness that is fun.
Smoother and less sharp in the taste. Nice fruit flavor and smooth wheat taste. Sourness is toned down here too.
Light and dry.
Wow, this is quite nice. Complex, esp. in the aroma, but the flavor are very good too. And, an easy drinker. Perfect for humidity.
