Notes / Commercial Description:
Severe Drought, we shared the farmer’s horror as Wisconsin’s cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The Apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsin’s favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavor discovered by accident in a sour ale!

Cheers to the unexpected.

Bottle pour at the tasting at la casa de dirtinabottle.

Pours a clear sunny red color, bubbly fizzy head of about one inch fades quickly, small little dots of lacing on the glass.

Incredibly fruity fresh aroma- the fruits all mix well together, but cranberry and cherry are the most notable.

The taste is similarly vibrant. Cranberry, cherry, and apple (again, not as noticeable as the others, probably because of their more tart characters), all smack you across the face, nicely. There is a mild, but very welcome, sour twang at the end of each sip that keeps the sometimes cloying sweetness in check. The beer is quite sweet, unbelievably so, actually, so drinking large amounts isn't easy.

Medium bodied, crisp juicy mouthfeel. Drinkable for the first 4 oz or so, then gets to be a cloying chore, a little bit.

Incredible that this is actually beer- I don't taste any malts or hops, just the giant basket of fruit that went into each bottle.
