Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.00%

Notes / Commercial Description:
Severe Drought, we shared the farmer’s horror as Wisconsin’s cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The Apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsin’s favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavor discovered by accident in a sour ale!

Cheers to the unexpected.

L: Translucent maroon, auburn, and burgundy hues with a generous white, fluffy head
S: Macintosh and Fiji apples with a distinctive cranberry cocktail aroma
T: Initial burst of Montmorency cherries swiftly met by a sweet blend of apples and cranberries and hints of cocoa
F: Medium body with a slightly dry finish
O: Another expertly crafted fruit beer by the masters in the game, New Glarus. This is a rich and flavorful beer with subtle sweetness and huge fruit flavors. Very enjoyable.

Excellent cranberry taste with apple scents and tastes. Moderate carbonation. This beer is a lot like a wine but it is very tasty.

Shared a bottle in sniffers. Pours lightly with little head. Smell of fruit is immediate and very nice. Taste is very fruity, and complex. The body is light - almost like a wine. Very refreshing, and a great dessert beer.

I purchased this in Wisconsin along with its brothers Belgian Red and Raspberry Tart. This being the last of the three that I tried, I would have to personally rank them Raspberry Tart > Serendipity > Belgian Red. They say Serendipity is a blend of apple, raspberry, and cherry, but I am mostly only picking up the apple with some cherry sourness at the end. It is an incredible fruit beer that is very smooth and drinkable.
