e0,5l bottle dated 01.05.24. Not sure why I picked this up but I haven’t had a rauchbier in a while so that’s probably why. Not the best nose…smells a bit adjunct/artificial. Flavor is similar. Has that roasted and charred malt character but nowhere near the quality of Schlenkerla. Drinks well, quite smooth, tasty finish. Not bad overall.

Pours a slightly cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of smoked, caramel malt and floral, grassy hops. Taste follows the nose, with a a good balance of smoked, caramel malt and floral, grassy hops. Finishes bitternsweet, with a light/medium bitterness and some smoked malt and floral/grassy hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A decent Rauchbock that's a little too sweet and floral for my personal taste though, while the smoky notes also kinda fail to really leave a distinct impression here. I mean, it's all right, I just expected a little more of Kundmüller and this just ticks all my boxes when it comes to a flavor profile I personally dislike with its sweet and floral character. I will say that there's a decent bitter, grassy hop profile to it as well, which provides some balance, but all in all this just doesn't really do it for me. No comparison to Schlenkerla for sure.

Bought in a small 0.33l flip top bottle in Bamberg. Pours a slightly dark amber with a small head. Smokey fragrance. This beer hits you with a mild smoke flavor masking a strong bock base. Easy to drink rauchbock that could be dangerous.
Now in the standard 1/2 liter German bottles!!
2022 update: Yum!

An interesting collaboration brew with Cervejaria. Labled as a Franconian-Brazilian beer.
Ill sum this up here nice and quite.
It is a strong Rauchbeir.
And that is not bad!
Comes in a .33L bottle and I poured this straight into my .4L Andech's glass. Pours a rusty clear with a large, 3-4 off white head.
Smells like all rauchbiers: smokey, woody, bacony goodness.
Taste follows the same, the smokey baon comes out with a nice spice. The flavor is not too strong, like some rauchbiers can be. It is actually rather mellow, which I like. Very easy to drink, despite the higher alcohol content.
Over all, a solid beer. Its a rauch, so if you have had one before, dont expect to be blowen away. Still a great beer for BBQing.
