Had some time to kill, so dropped in for lunch and a pint. Easy access, located in Laclede's Landing, it is just a couple blocks off the train stop. The area is the refurbished riverfront area, with lots of trendy shops and restaurants in the original buildings and old cobblestone streets. Morgan Street is located in an old warehouse, with the original brick walls and architecture. At first it looks small, but there are lots of corners and nooks, and a patio so there is lots of space once you wander around. I was the only customer when I walked in, there was one other table that came in while I was there. The service I got was passable, considering I was the only one there - would have like to chat, but everyone seemed to be busy, or at least wanted it to look that way. They had 5 of their own beers on tap: pilsner, oktoberfest, pumpkin vienna, honey wheat, and irish stout. Beers were ok, but pretty average. Also see they have growlers available, but not sure how much for a fill. While I was there, the brewer was cleaning the taps so that is a good sign. The food menu seemed alright. I had a sandwich, good but nothing spectacular. Overall it has lots of potential, but reading other reviews, it looks like they are happy making their money off the evening college sports crowd. I would go back, just because it is a cool area, and a nice looking building.

This place is massive. Multiple entrances, multiple levels and multiple bars. What was worrisome was how empty it was. The beer is very average. I didn't stay long, which is too bad because it's location is very close to many downtown hotels and the Arch.

Very easy to find in the Laclede Landing section of St. Louis, I was excited to visit this brewpub. The canned beer is excellent, and I had high hopes. At the restaurant, however, I was somewhat disappointed. The beer selection was a nice, but limited mix of mostly German styles. The Helles and the Maibock were both respectable and tasty. But, whereas the beer was solid, the food, atmosphere, and service were all substandard. First, although they were not busy, waitstaff stood by chatting, rather than seating my family for several minutes. The service was then slow, inattentive, and mostly disinterested. Beer was served out of a clearly chipped glass. The food was acceptable pub fare, but, frankly, on par with most chain casual dining restaurants.
I liked the good beer, but I won't be going back again to eat.
