Traditionally, this full-bodied brown ale was brewed to nourish monks during their Lenten fast. The incorporation of Belgian candi syrup as well as the yeast strain employed give this beer its authentic flavor.

Picked this up on a trade from one of my east coast bruddas'. Been sitting on this for some time and it still came out great. Poured a deep deep amber, little head, maybe old, but not a problem. I was a big fan of the taste on this, big fruits, banana bread, good sweet stuff. Overall loved this beer, reminded me of the Flat Earth Belgian, I will be drinking this again hopefully.
