Clear, pale golden, thin, but stable foamy white layer; sweet-malty, grainy nose with a tinge of wet paper; moderate bitter flavour with a touch of sweetness; short, bitter, quite dry finish. An average Pils, that gives one the potential for drinking massive quantities on a hot summer day.

Lots of good memories in the brewery in Aschaffenburg.

From carrefour. Playing KB Dark Side. Good Pilsen, with much more body than the typical spanish ones and better taste, more equilibrium in bitterness

Bright golden color with a thin head with short retention.
Aroma with notes of grassy hops, bread malt and mild honey.
Flavor with notes of spicy, floral and grassy hops, minerals and bread and grainy malts. Dry aftertaste with a long lasting nice bitterness.
Light towards medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Very good Pils, super crisp and refreshing with a nice bitterness. This is not really fresh but it felt great. It doesn’t really have something different; it is just a great recipe faithful to style. I wouldn’t change it a bit.

Clear golden colour, small head that does not last. Minimal lace. Aroma of malts, grains. Medium body. Taste of grains, notes of citrics, hitns of carmel. Just another pils, nothing special.

From 2013: Nice looking pils, with medium creamy head and good lacing, clear golden body with spare carbonation. Aroma is normal pils malt, slightly musty. Taste is light malt and hops with abrupt finish. Looks good, tastes average.

Nice golden pour with a big creamy white head and nice lacing. Typical German pils nose with a little more floral to it along with a hint of grass and metal. Big bold taste for a pilsner. Nice hop bitterness with just a touch of sweetness. And it has that dry, crisp finish that the real good German pilners have as well as the metal, mineral taste that I love. Very drinkable. Not quite a Bitburger, but in the same class.

BB 14-3-06. Poors in with good and lasting head and pale golden beercolor. Nose is hoppy( perle?) and litle malty with just a hint of yeastfruit; delicate and good as a pils should be. Taste is bitter, lightmalty and dry; also as a pils should be. Litle irontaste and hanging bitterness but a pleasure to drink and one of the better pilseners I know.

Comes in a standard German brown half liter bottle with a yellow and gold label featuring a small boy pushing a keg. The name is printed in Fraktur (old style German print), and is defined as the name of the first royal brewer in Aschaffenburg. Purity law applies. Best before 9/4/04, I opened it on 5/13/04.
Pours clear gold under a 1.5 finger white head that settles fairly quickly but leaves some good lacing. A nice combination of sweet malt and crisp hop greets the nose. The mouth is prickly and medium-bodied. The taste features a significant malt backbone in support of a good hoppy bite. The hops are mainly flowery, with a touch of metal to give it a slight edge. The finish features a fairly strong bitter bite, while the sweet malt makes a comeback in the aftertaste to leave a quite pleasant impression.
