33cl Flip-top bottle @ home on 4th Nov 2012, poured into a 'Good People' badged straight sleeve.

Dark gold with a good foam covering of white foam which wanted to leave as quickly as possible for some reason.

Malty nose with roasted and toasted notes with a yeast twist as it warmed a little in the glass.

Semi-sweet malty molasses rule the taste with a mini-hop finish that gives the beer a crisp bitterness towards the end of each sip. Nicely carbonated and easy to drink.

330ml bottle. Lager glass. Brass color, chill haze appearance. White froth, close but quickly disipated crown. Yeasty, malty & spicy aromas rounded by slight chocolate hues & floral hints. Flavors as expected from aromas. Light body. Moderate to high carbonation. Oily & sugary mouthfeel. Low bitterness into a lasting sweet finish. Toffee notes on the aftertaste. Smooth drinkability.

Smell, a bit of malt; slightly musty initially - but that fades.
Colour dark golden; head fades quickly, with some lacing.
Taste is malty going hoppy at the finish - something very slightly off-key there in the end note I find. It's an okay beer, goes well with food - fried spuds at any rate. Review was written before the spuds were done though ;-)

BB date is Dec. 2013

Pours clear golden with dense head that fades to rich layer at the top, downsliding lacing. Aroma is simple sweetish malt with faint fruity background.

Taste is malt with slightly fruity bitterness towards the finish, clean sweetish malt aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium, moderate carbonation.

Overall, a good and enjoyable one.

330ml. bottle. Golden to amber colour, good head that dissapears soon, leaving a thin lace. Smell is rather nothing, just some floral hint and grain. Light body, nothing specially lively. Taste is again rather dull, some citrus, grain and that's all.
Disappointing.

Drank in Giessen, Germany, July 6, 2008. Specially brewed for 375th anniversary of an invasion of a German town by a Swedish king (expl. http://schlappeseppel.de/produkte/index.html)

Appearance
Orange-tinted yellow (a little darker than a pils), clear, good initial head (then died down)

Smell
Mild and pleasant bready aroma, just a hint sweet

Taste & Mouthfeel
Smooth mouthfeel and flavor, with no tangy lager yeast, surprising caramel malt sweetness (not a lot, though); no noticeable hop bitterness

Drinkability
I really like it; it's light and smooth but still flavorful, and certainly something unique amongst all the pilseners, heffes, and such here. Not sure how to classify it.

Picked up at the store as I wanted to drink a maltier beer. Aroma of caramel & honey - amber in color with a nice head - medium body with a slightly rich and malty body and light toasted notes - very drinkable and good for year-round drinking - will drink again

Amber color with a thick head with medium retention.
Clean aroma with notes of grains, German hops and bread malt sweetness.
Flavor with notes of malt sweetness and grains with just a hint of caramel and nuts, apples, mild sulfur-mineral and finishing with spicy and grassy hops. Dry aftertaste with a mild towards medium bitterness.
Light body with good carbonation.
Enjoyable Marzen, easy to drink and very well balanced, not too malty, nor hoppy, nor too sweet.
