Had lunch today at the Bog Bowl in Lincolnshire.....tried their Blonde......would have liked to try the brunette.....but that is another story ;)! The beer poured a clear golden color with white head that left some lace. The scent was fairly non-descript. The taste was good for a blonde ale had some citrus hop flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall....not too shabby.

Served from a can in a Trooper shaker pint glass.

Never thought I'd find a new Onion beer, canned, out here in Niles. Right on, I guess. This stuff pours a chill-hazed brass-straw topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose is impossibly light, barely comprising lemon zest, flowers, and white bread. The taste is just as evanescent, though the flowery and grassy notes still find a way to make themselves known for a few moments. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a somewhat crisp finish. Overall, though not bad by any stretch, this beer leaves me wanting, well, everything: There's almost no smell, almost no taste. This is a void of a beer, a flavored water, the epitome of pure average-ness.
