This is the bastard child of the Drago varients for 2020. I really enjoyed both Hazelnut and Mole variants. Hazelnut was as masterpiece. Mole was really well done.

So much Almond flavor that it was a drain pour. Just way over the top. It might settle down in a few year, but man that is so much almond. I really though this one would be a unique and enjoyable variant.

I really like drago when I had it awhile ago so seeing a variant I had to pick it up.
A: Poured pitch black with minimal head that dissipated quickly.
A: Big almond sweetness just dominates along with chocolate and bourbon heat.
T: Follows the nose with tons of almond, bourbon heat, and chocolate malt sweetness.
P: Lingers well with the boozy bourbon heat cutting through the sweetness some.
O: This is a liquid Almond Joy in a glass. Definitely need to get the other variants.

12 ounce can into a snifter. Canned 3/20/20, had 8/6/20.

Pours near black and mostly opaque, with a brief flash of a head and a few specks of cling. The aroma starts with a big blast of almond, then chocolate, some vanilla, light coconut and bourbon, some malt. The almond smells like flavoring- nice at first, not so much after repeated sniffs. Flavors of bourbon, still substantial almond, chocolate, some coconut, vanilla, roasted malt. The flavor is more palatable than the aroma. Smooth, a very good full body, well carbonated.

It has almond, no doubt. Actual or flavoring? Leans towards the latter. Still, a pretty good beer overall, the flavor is really good if you let it warm up. Could have used more coconut.
