A good pumpkin ale. Full bodied but light enough to have a few. Nice crisp start with a light sweetness that ends with a deep pumpkin flavor. No mistaking this as any other type of beer. Only downside is the Wild Onion doesn't brew it year round.

There was malt followed by some spice in the aroma and the taste was identical. The body was a little thin and so was the malt, spice, and pumpkin was almost unnoticeable.
Overall this was line pumpkin beer- light- not neccesarily bad but far from overwhelming anyone with flavor and substance

DATE: October 14, 2018... OCCASION: Sunday evening as fall has indeed fallen--time for a grunt of pumpkin, and my first from Wild Onion.... sizzles and fizzes out the bottle, with a half-finger of creamy, off-white head sitting confidently atop a light brown/amber body with thin bubbles that populate the glass... presents as a malty, bready prominence, with the pumpkin lightly suggested but by no means the worth the label on its can... light spices hint at allspice or nutmeg, or a bit of cinnamon--not much to write about... a base brown body, medium-bodied and hearty for the season, but with a slight buttery feel at the tongue... its aftertaste holds reasonably... cinnamon, yam, sweet potato, butter, sweet sugars, apple, and hints of bread dough make this a warming, yet moderate experience.... easy-drinking and rewarding to a point, with enough spiciness to make it a stand-alone nightcap...

Like many pumpkin beers, this has potential, but just doesn't close. The appearance is an amber orange, clear liquid with a white head. The aroma is of faint spice, with a hint of malt. The taste, however, is great. It is a balanced mix of pumpkin pie and malty pale ale. Nice. Plight to medium in body. Could be better, but not forgettable.
