With the Ukrainian war going on, I am amazed to have found this beer on tap. The local Scottish pub got two kegs in.
Doesn't have much of a head but is still good. Leans more towards a sweetish finish (think wheaties) and is good for a hot day.

L: very nice gold, although the head dissipated quickly
S: cannabis and lager malt
T: fresh bread and molasses, somewhat watery
F: thick, cloying, needs more carbonation
I bought this simply to try Ukrainian beer. Simply getting a beer from Kiev at this time is impressive. An acceptable, drinkable lager.

500mL undated brown bottle poured into a becher glass at fridge temp 5.2% ABV. The beer pours bright light amber with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of tiny bubbles. The aroma is mild with sweet pale malt and musty grain. The taste is more of the same with an imposing mineral note and notable diacetyl. Mild bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a semi dry finish. Overall, drinkable, but barely.

Poured from a 500mL undated bottle into a pils glass.
On the pour a 1 finger head forms then dissipates to a relatively thick covering over the beer. Body is a golden yellow with a light haze. Carbonation appears light.
Aroma is quite light, but a bit skunked, no thanks to the green bottle. Some bready malts are present but agai. The aroma is very light. Some lager funk is also present but nothing serious.
Taste is actually pretty nice with some light hop bitterness, followed by a nice malty sweetness. Some corona/heineken vibes are present but some people will probably enjoy that, and the hops are still partially intact. Once the first wave passes you are left with a very nice and warming malt flavor,
Feel has a lower carbonation bite than American lagers but the mouthfeel is smooth and a bit creamy despite the less than stellar appearance of the head. Even with an abv of 5 there is a nice warming feeling while still maintaining a crisp lager feel. Definitely a year round beer. This feels good.
Overall this beer is good, but the import and age shows. Definitely better than a lot of AALs out there and pretty damn tasty if you like malty lagers. It's clean and mostly balanced.

Your boy wanted to feel this one, he really did. But like a jealous dame with daddy problems, it stabbed me in the back. It’s just, like, not good in anyway. Well… Nah, this damsel is in distress! It looks ok enough, but if she was screaming from the top of a burning building, I’d continue to mosey along down the street to the nearest beer bar.
Awoooooo!

I drank a bottle Obolon Lager that I got for free at a party in Santa Monica, CA/USA.
Look: Obolon Lager was bright yellow with light foam.
Smell: Obolon Lager smelled like any ordinary Lager.
Taste: Obolon Lager had a light sour aftertaste.
Feel: Obolon Lager had good carbonation.
Overall: I felt that Obolon Lager was an ordinary Lager. I am glad that I got the Obolon Lager for free before I drank it.

Served from the bottle in a Jackie O's shaker pint glass.
Pours a clear pale brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises light hard water, mild cereals, and a touch of wet flowers. The taste brings in more of the same, everything awash in a slightly bready morass. About as vague and nondescript a set of flavors can be, I'll bet, as neutral as the gray planet we despise so much. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a watery feel. The only response after drinking this is "Yup, that was a beer, all right."
