A- Body is a somewhat cloudy, very carbonated cola color. Served with an approximately 2 finger beige head. Head fades to a thick collar and very little lacing is left.

S- The nose is subtle-but in line for the style. Banana is the main character but sourdough bread has almost equal strength as the backbone.

T- The initial flavor is heavy on banana with a substantial bready yeast background. The finish is consistent with the initial flavor but the sourdough bread impression grows a little bit. Nothing lingers on the palate.

M- Medium carbonation and light to medium weight body. Fairly smooth.

D- This is a decent dunkel...but nothing special. It fits the bill pretty well for the style. It's pretty heavy on banana and could use a little bit of spice. Definitely worth a try.

A: Caramel brown color. Forms a large, fizzy, big bubbled tan colored head that fizzes away to nothingness very quickly.

S: Heavy dose of caramel malt, with some bready yeast, and the scent of carbonation.

T: More caramel malt. Rather sweet and nutty. Barely perceptible bitterness.

M: On the lighter side, with heavy carbonation that dissipated fairly quickly.

O: A worthy beer. Drinkable, though somewhat unexciting.

On tap at Cole's in Buffalo, poured a deep slight hazed russet brown with a thinner quick to fade slight off white head.Big clove in the nose with underlying banana and toasted wheat malt pretty straight forward and basic for the style.Quite a full mouthfeel clove spice and banana again are the main flavor components a hint of chocoalte but its faint and a light toastiness round out this beer.A bit heavy after a bit but its pretty well rounded in flavor, not bad.

the last new one of the night for me and i have to admit i was quite fond of it. served cold and poured into a pint glass, this one was consumed on 10/22/2010.

really a nice pour here with a dark hazelnut color that had a decent head of maybe two inches in height that quickly coated the sides of the glass.

rich roasted nuts, earthy with a deep and bready malt character that carried it through very nicely. smooth and very creamy feel only serve to accentuate this as the rich malts overpowered the profile. lots of caramel and various sweet tones are running rampant throughout this one. finishes smooth with a long and drawn out flavor that really gets it going for you.

overall a very very good example of the style.
