Bought a "Best by August 2014" 5L mini keg of this in May 2015 for $9.98 in Kansas City. Gave it a whirl seeing that it's a 7% Belgian.

Luxurious foam and lacing, even on the second day of the keg. The smell isn't too intense on this. The taste is malty and sweet. Has some of the Belgian "spiciness" that you expect from a Belgian pale.

This is a very nice beer. Wish I'd picked up a few more of these "expired" mini kegs when I had the chance. At least I got one!

Tasted from a 330 ml bottle in Strasbourg, France.

L - Cloudy orange-gold color. White head faded quickly.

S - Boozy alcohol mixed with earthy hops. No malt but a bubblegum yeast note. Hops seem aged or slightly skunky.

T - Green, moderately bitter hops dominate. Some bready malt in the background.

F - Fizzy carbonation. Medium to heavy body; chewy. Alcohol not obvious, despite aroma.

O - Good but not outstanding. Aged hop aroma and non-smooth carbonation distract from the good characteristics.

This beer will not satisfy the tripel purists. If, however, you'd like a taste of a fresh doughy, Belgian blonde and taste some orange then this is THE beer for you.

I get a licorice taste that nobody else seems to taste but wow it grows on you and is very good. People say lemon. Either way whatever I made my choice its good

From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle. The cork flew across the room when popped and I always like that. Sampled on May 1, 2015.

Basic yellow pour with a lot of yeast sediments floating about. Small white head that dissolves.

The aroma is at first malty but it is also quite fruity along the lines of banana.

The body is light to medium.

Very sweet tasting with fruit elements. More sweet than anything else. Sorry, not worth $14.

From the bottle, it pours a hazy gold with a quickly dissipating small head. Floral to the nose. Taste is good and this makes it easy to drink. Beware the trolls!
