I pour my Cuvee des Trolls into my nifty Cuvee des Trolls glass and it's hard to tell if the beer is cloudy or not. (the glass is frosted) It seemed fairly clear as I poured it. There is a very white head. Nose is airy. Barely any perception of grains there. Flavor is quite sweet at first. A bit too much I would have to say. It mellows a good bit, but still remains slightly too much. Citrus is there, yes. Beyond that there isn't much. The overpowering nature of the sweetness at first sets the tone for a not so thrilling ride. Feel is full on carbonation and the liquid is slightly thin for the style. An okay beer. Cool glass though.

From Optimus Beer. InbTeku glass. After dinner. In Roquetas de Mar. In shaker glass. Overcarbonated. Light sourness at first but dissipates quickly. Fruity notes to lemon, orange, white grapes mixed with belgian yeast notes

This is a strange one indeed, a lot going on and overly hoppy.

It looks pretty good, a light hazy golden body with a foamy head, which does dissipate fairly quickly to leave a thin floating topping.

Aroma is a little sour, and those hops seem a bit too overkill.

The taste is the same, carries those hops into a sour taste, and definitely acquired.

It is a little wish washy in feel, and could do with beefing up a bit, but strangely leaves an aftertaste wanting more.

Overall, something just doesn't quite fit for me, looks great, tastes a bit below par, as complex a brew as it is.

Served from my Trolls glass. Slightly cloudy apple juice colour. Thin head (though this may result from the glass).

Light fruits in the nose: apples, bananas. Traces of sugar.

Fairly sweet taste; the candi sugar really comes through. Fruit tastes in the taste, especially bananas and sweet apples. Crisp hop finish, almost a lager like taste to it.

A bit thin and watery - if this were more carbonated it would be more reminiscent of a lager. A decent beer, but a little too sweet and weak. One of these every now and then is more than enough.

250ml served in a Leffe chalice.

A: Pours pale a light cloudy yellow color forming a medium white bubbled head. Low retention and only very few lacings left

S: Sweet grains and bread. Flowery hops and a little bit of alcohol in the very end

T: Follows the nose. Sweet and grainy upfront. Notes of honey. Stingy hoppy bitterness in the end. In overall, a dry beer

M: Quite light body to a Strong Pale Ale. Medium carbonation. Aftertaste is a combination of sweet grains and light citrus hops

O: Medium drinkability but I was expecting more from a Dubuisson beer

This beer poured a golden color with a slight white head giving way to a nice ring on the edge. The nose of the beer was slightly hoppy and citrus but subtle as you don't get kicked in the head with hops as the label may have you believe. The taste is also not overly hopped. there is a slight malt character and hops notes to round out a decent beer.

Had this on bottle at the Beyerd, Breda, The Netherlands. The troll on the bottle is quit intriguing.

A: Pours a big fluffy head which stays for quite a while on the beer. A nice lacing stays the entire beer. Color is deep golden, quite what you expect for this style. Bravo.

S: Smell is moderate, no sharp smells of hop or grain. A bit citrusy.

T: This is what bothered me, the taste was not really strong, not what I would've expected. Hints of spices and citrus. Nice aftertaste but dissappeared rather quickly.

M: Mildly carbonated. Easily drinkable.

O: Quite a beer to clench your thirst with.

Hazy yellow golden color with a thin aired head with short retention, but leaving some laces.
Initially malty aroma followed by notes of oranges, booze, pineapple and honey.
Flavor of booze, spicy yeast at the beginning of tasting, Cointreau liquor, hard center of a pineapple, yeast, some hay, pear, banana and a mild sourness. And some faint herbal hop around.
Light body with appropriate carbonation, alcohol is apparent but does not bother.
A decent ok beer, tasty and assertively light with a booze kick. Not bad, not extraordinary.

Bottle: Poured a deep golden ale with a white foamy head with good retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of Belgian malt with some sweetness and some notes of dry European hops. Taste is also dominated by some sweet malt notes with light bitter and dry notes of hops. Medium body with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol.
