At the pub in West Chester they were calling this one the IK Barleywine their thousandth batch brewed with a hop rate of 1,000 ounces. Well at least I think it was ounces a slew of hops were added to this golden delicious barleywine. Appears a deep golden honey hue forms a large white vibrant head on the pour. Aromatics contain a sweet sugar coated hop bouqet which gives of citrus fruit, pine cone, and floral hop characteristics. Flavor is great malt backbone is reminiscient of a honey graham cracker with the citrus hops really shining bringing some tropical fruit namingly pineapple and citrus streaks across my tongue, and the bitterness is ample but not overbearing on this fine brew. Mouthfeel is slightly syrupy in texture has a soft carbonation very nice goes down smooth. Drinkability with this one is high for me I could picture myself craving multiple servings of this one, but at the brewpub they told me 10.5 abv it would keep me at bay. It could be 9.6 abv it was kind of a debate among staff. Just checked the website looks like the abv is at 11% wow it was pretty well hidden great originality golden hoppy barleywine, there should be more of these pretty drinkable.

From a growler pouring gold with white head. The aroma is fruity with tangelo, peach, orange and some sweet malts in the background. The taste start very IIPA - like with solid tangelo citrus hoppiness, some hoppy spice and sweet malts bleeding into grapefruit hop bitterness. To midway the hops really explode to full IIPA levels. No sense of the standard fruity esters of the barleywine style. It ends like it started with a backbone of sweetness and a ton of citrus hops.

Golden color, served at Iron Hill West Chester in a tulip-like glass
Looks lighter than a traditional barleywine, golden colored with a strong lace head. Significant hops in the nose, not much "beer sugar" more of an IPA note. Lots of floral in the nose, not much malt, more German malt smell than English... Quite tasty, not overpowering, but on since it was on cask it may be softer than the standard draft pour. Hops come through, some alcohol in the end finish. Easy to drink.

On tap at the Phoenixville location...
Appears a dark gold with a huge white head that never fades out. Tons of lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is super hoppiness with orange, and sugary grapefruit, demerara sugar flooding a caramel & hot tea explosion.
Taste is of a sugary, hoppy mix that is blended well and balanced beyond belief. It's very chewy, sugary, rummy, tea-like, with herbal flavors pulling through. This is much more like a hoppy IIPA than a Barleywine.
Mouthfeel is sweet up front leading to a hoppy, citrusy, orange peel finish. If this was the barleywine portion, I would've gladly have taken the second running grains to brew another hoppy beast.
This version was 9% and very drinkable.

Served a medium amber colored beer with modest white head.
Smell is loaded with malt, but the hops seem very supressed.
Taste is also very malty with some strong fruity notes mpresent.
Finish has more fruity malt, and the hops begin to make their presence know.
Served a bit too cold for this style of beer, but as it warmed the taste improved.
