Kryptonite is a shining example of what a boiler full of hops can do to a beer! This double American IPA is exceptional. The pour form the growler is a deep amber color with a white head showing small bubbles. The head stays throughout the pint and holds the carbonation well. The first thing you smell as you raise the glass to your nose is the generous helping of citrusy hops this beer holds. There is no alcohol odor and only a slight hint of sweetness. The taste dos not disappoint! A hop bomb greets an eager pallet with a grapefruit note that fades to a flowery taste with a hint of malty sweetness on the lips. The mouthfeel is not heavy but has good body. The only reason this beer isn't more drinkable is the ABV, but who would hold that as a bad thing! Smooth and enjoyable, glass after glass, Kryptonite is one of my favorite Iron Hill North Wales offerings! Cheers!

Appears a cloudy amber with a nice frothy white head that retains well. Scattered lacing is left all around the glass.
Smell is of intense hops. Tons of pine with citrusy orange blasts coming through and some oaky woodiness to it as well.
Taste is also of the intense hoppiness with lots of sugary malt balancing out this insanely hopped up brew. There is something in there that is a bit homebrew-ish. Must be a type of hop in there that I usually don't get.
Mouthfeel is very sweet and bitter with with a bit of a bittersweet citrus linger along the tongue. I was still burping up these hops 30 minutes after I was finished. My only complaint was the cost. Five bucks for a measly 12 oz glass. What the hell is that about?
