This pours a clear, pale amber color with a slight white head. The aroma is very earthy with grass tones. The texture is very smooth and drinks quite easily. The taste is quite simple with grass and grain flavors. The best way to describe this beer is it tastes like Heineken if Heineken actually tasted good. Simple yet quite refreshing.

Clear golden pour with reasonable lacing and retention. Eye catching label with foil around the 50 cl bottle neck and cap. BBD of 16/06/16. Easy drinking with distinctive flavour.

Bottle looks quite different than that in the picture: pale yellow label w/green print, KBIO Kloster w/golden foil enshrouding the neck and cap, adorned by the Karmeliten crest and "Kloster Gold" written in red writing at a 45° angle. Best by date on bottom of label: Nov 7, 2009. This label flaunts its organic origins w/two seals, one certifying in French it's produced through biological agriculture, the other being similar but looking more Italian. Bottle also indicates 5.2% abv.

A-Pours a clear golden color w/rich white head that exhibits good retention and never fades to thinner than a full cap during consumption.

S-Biscuity w/a freshly baked bread smell, faint yeast, slightly sweet malt, just a hint of hops.

T-Fresh and just slighty sweet pilsner malt forms even backbone. Finish is of noble hops, w/bits of floral character, a hint of metallic and minerals, and a touch of mild herbs and spice.

M-Fresh and crisp from start to finish, w/good dry finish that cleanses the palate, and moderate carbonation that is lively throughout and invigorating in the finish. The character is overall subtle, but the body is a touch richer than what I expected, which makes for a nice drinking experience. Harmonious and even.

D-Very easy to drink, highly sessionable, and something I would seek out in the future.

Pours yellow, hazy (rare for this style of lager) with a wide white foam head. Aroma is very mild of base malts, some crackers, no hops. Taste is nice, low bitterness and some residual swetness. Low body with medium carbonation. Nice german lager.

From Costco. In Teku glass. Playing Neighbouring Islands. Light and plain, with just some grassy notes to give it some flavor but not managing to make it something more enjoyable than an industrial
