Rich creamy head with bouquet of Wheat malt, black current, clove, and apple. Deep full flavors of caramel and chocolate malt balance with hops for a smooth warming character. Smooth malt leads to a subtle alcohol and dark caramel finish. The wonderful balance of this beer provides a complex profile hiding the 9.5% alcohol content. The perfect companion for a cold winter night.

On tap at Barcade on St. Mark’s Place in Manhattan, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark brown-ish color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like raisin, toffee, fruitcake, chocolate, and a little bit of grassiness.
This has been something I’ve randomly always wanted to try, so it was cool to see at a bar on a recent NYC trip. It’s got a nice smooth and fruity (raisin, grape, etc) sweetness to it, with a touch of floral and grassy bitterness, some creamy wheat notes, and chocolate and toasty breadiness.
This is medium bodied, kinda creamy, not super boozy, and really drinkable.
I really enjoyed this, it’s old school, and not a style you see basically ever in America.

Very dark chestnut brown
Around medium carbonation with a medium body which added up to a nice feel
Aroma is toasted nut, roasted malt, mild coffee and cacoa.
Taste is similar to aroma with very mild sweetness accompanied by roasted malt and nut bitterness.
Overall an excellent beer that I would get again

Poured a cola-colored hue into a stemmed tulip glass from a pint can with a khaki-colored head that took a while to settle down but when it finally did it created a nice cap that lasted the duration. Visible carbonation in the initial pour but it faded as it warmed leaving very little lacing. Aromas of cloves, chicory, bread and chocolate were all present with a slight boozy smell as well. Could taste chocolate sweetness, roasted malts & molasses up front which tapered off to a bready banana mid mouth and then a caramel bittersweet finish. Mouth is slightly carbonated, full bodied and very complex. Overall, an outstand offering from Ramstein.

Pours black with black with a couple fingers of tan foam. Aroma is bready, caramely, toasty, and lightly nutty malts. Mild fig and toffee add a little further sweetness, which is countered well by grassy and mild herbal hops. Flavor profile is caramely, bready, toasty, and nutty malts which pair up with fig, molasses, and grassy hops. It's well rounded, balanced, and firm, but not overly strong. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a comfortable velvet texture. Overall, all aspects of this beer are smooth and enjoyable. It's a pleasure to drink, even at 9.5% ABV.

Pours a dark, almost black cola brown in color, topped with a very dark tan head. Excellent Brussels lacing as the head falls.
Heady, richly scented nose, dark malts and wheat character in abundance, but little in the way of hops, of course.
Sweet on the first sip, with cocoa and toffee bites, alongside lighter anise (black licorice). Super smooth… and the heaviness of the ABV is nowhere to be found.
As it warms, additional complexity emerges, along with some warming alcohol character, and more interestingly some spicy hops!
Cocoa notes flit about toward the end of the sip, even as this warms. No doubt it would make for a most excellent winter warmer!
Altogether, this is not a thirst-crusher in the summertime heat (and this has been one of the cruelest summers in recent memory), but this is exactly the sort of thing I’d always hoped that it would be: An outstanding example of the style, and a beer that is well worth seeking out.

a: very dark combination of dark purple, brown, and ruby red. pours a nice 2 finger fizzy tan head that fades pretty quickly to a thin film
s: dark caramel, roasted wheat, and berries. a touch of molasses, brown bread, and tea-like hops. clove, milk chocolate, and ripe bananas
t: sweet caramel, fig, plum, and fruitbread upfront. dark bread, molasses, and some alcohol behind that. bread crust, angel food cake, and a strong note of sweet berries at the end. the end has a touch of crackery malt and chocolate powder
m: sticky, medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation and a definite alcohol presence
o: fantastic beer. very nice for the style - checks off all the boxes. it's a pretty high abv beer that is best enjoyed as a sipper. another very good beer from Ramstein

Exceptional weizenbock. This "heavy" beer is so well made you could mistaken it for being barrel aged. So much flavor and the imperial lager mouthfeel is something to experience. Outstanding.

Undated bottle poured into Ramstein pint glass. It pours a very dark cola color with one finger of foamy, khaki-colored head and lacing. Its smell is primarily roasted malt, clove, caramel, and tobacco smoke. The taste features a blast of sweet plum, raisin, and banana, along with malt and caramel. The finish is peppery with a residual taste of spice and hops. The mouth feel is creamy, almost chewy, with moderate carbonation. The 9.5% ABV is evident. This is a sipper for sure. Ramstein is very adept at producing authentic German beers and this Weizenbock is no exception. Well-crafted and tasty, it would pair well with a hearty meal or as a winter sipper.
