This helles goes down easily as a helles should but it exhibits in my opinion a bit too much Diacetyl or and other yeast flavours. While this makes the character of a good Franconian beer from a small brewery, I found it a bit too much in the one beer I had.

50cl bottle poured into Spaten Seidel
Received in a trade with Erzengel, cheers mate!
BBE 15/04/2011
A- Pale straw blonde, not completely clear with a solid white 3 finger head. Very good retention and lacing.
S- Some pepper spice, some DMS mustiness
T- Slightly buttery, more malty in balance with a dry alka-seltzer like dry finish! No particular hop bite evident, light pepper spice lingering.
M- Medium carbonation, light/thin body yet i can feel it coating my tongue with this slight butteryness!
D- Easy drinking helles. Its hard to get away from this low buttery quality which lets it down.
