A mild earthy IPA with hints of citrus–a great example of a year ‘round New England IPA. Take the leap with this local favorite. Enjoy with your favorite meal or just on its own.

Unfiltered amber appearance with a large, off white head and good lacing. Subtle aroma of floral and citrus hops. Taste is equally mild mannered, with pine and summer fruit giving way to the sweetness of the caramel malts. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel, with flavors that complimented the pasta dish it accompanied.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. No freshness date
L: Clear copper pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head. Solid lacing.
S: Malts and caramel. Grainy... mild fruits and sweetness.
T/F: Sweet and malty... caramel for sure. Not enough hops to balance it out. Very mild profile... some tropicals and citrus but mostly a malt bomb. Well carbonated... medium to thin in body.
O: Pretty average stuff... too malty and sweet and not enough hops. Drinks more like an amber or red ale. Didn't hate it... wouldn't revisit. Too much better stuff out there.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a somewhat hazy yellow to golden orange color with a decent one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing that slid right on into the beer. The smell had a nice English sweet maltiness running over top of some light bitter piney hops. The taste was English malty sweet with that same bitter piney hoppiness running underneath to balance it a bit. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body and had a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was suited more towards an English IPA than an American one (there was a certain subdued carbonation about it). Overall, yup, sure is an English IPA.
