On-draught @ Hopyard San Ramon.

Has a slight candied malt characteristic akin to sweet sauce covered citrus peel.

Looks like an ideal beer. Not as sweet as Racer 5. More hoppy, bitter finish but Racer 5 is my favorite.

I had this on tap at Federal Taphouse, served chilled in a tulip.

The color is resplendent golden with good clarity and thick white head with tight bead and thick lacing. The smell has a deep citrus and tropical nose w/ mix of pineapple and grapefruit in the aroma w/ light herbal smell. The feel is tangy and juicy with clean hop bitterness, moderate carbonation with dry finish and mild alcohol.

The taste has a crisp citrus and tangy juicy tropical character with fruity yeast and mild malt body with herbal hop flavors dominating the flavor has a light astringency with a slight golden grapefruit element with mild lemony zest taste. Overall A great wet hop beer, very fresh with a not raw bitter character as an unfiltered but has some great hop flavor with great balanced taste that leaves you wanting more it is fresh and enjoyable- maybe one of the top 5 beers I have had that are called 'Wet hopped'

its getting a bit late in the season for wet hopped anything to still be tasting good, but here we are with this one, which is drinking marvelously well right now. cool to see it single hopped with chinook, not a hop we usually find in isolation, let alone wet, so the flavor profile here is decidedly unique, and after a season of lackluster wet hopped beers, its nice to likely cap it with something so delicious. clearish from the tap and deep golden in color under a receding white head. it smells of fresh spruce, peach, and cannabis sativa, a little sweet, some honey type malt in here i think, and some nice mineral crispness for what it is, not too oily or sticky it doesnt seem, and weirdly boozy in the nose. the flavor is a little warm too towards the finish, interesting for the style. cut pine, apricot, white grape, and dank vegetal freshness, light spice like a cascade might have, but less intense for sure. well balanced by a good grain body and just a flash of sweetness at the climax, and a finish thats tending dry and faorly snappy for the style. i love the apparent simplicity of this, the hop profile is awesome, and its tasting incredibly fresh and delicious still considering these hops were likely picked a couple of months ago. very well done, but hoppy beer is what i know these guys to do best, and im not the least bit surprised this is fantastic! bravo!
