More new world hops- mosaic mostly- that are also high in alpha acid then racer 5 which is mostly the classics - cascade, centennial. Color is lighter- gold yellow hue. Head is thin and foamy. Aroma is lovely- perfumed with pineapple, mango, light pine, roses, not resiny, kinda candied and sweet. Palate is balanced at first then shoots toward bitter pineapple with bright tongue tingling booze and acidity- easy drinking yet big in flavor and bitterness. 94/100.

This beer pours a clear orange gold with an average head. The aroma is very tropical with guava, passion fruit, pineapple, pink grapefruit. and kiwi. The flavor is semi-sweet, with very soft bitternes, and flavors of passion fruit, gusva, pineapple, watermelon, salad greens, and a slightly more bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with bright carbonation. Overall this is a boldly flavoredbeer with minimal bitterness. Very enjoyable.

I think this used to be Churchill's. Simply stellar. Sternly bitter, with grapefruit rind, but also loads of juicy fruit. Rich and drinkable and maybe my favorite Bear Republic beer.

Poured from a bottle via an event with some industry folks.
This pours a caramel tinged straw yellow with nice soapy bubbles atop it
I get a full nose of juicy, sticky, green hops--lots of citrus, lots if pine. Loving how it smells.
Tastes pleasantly bitter with a drying finish. The bitterness hits midsip with some more green pine and citrusy peel. Was this a one off? Or a future staple? Let's hope for the latter.
Biter piney sweet finish on it.
Liked it. Try it if you can.

Pretty much everything I look for in a West Coast DIPA is right here. Growler drank same day as filled. (9/5/2015)

Grapefuit and tangerine citrus steals the show, along with some of the lighter tropical fruits. Just a wee bit more than the dank pine forest back. Perfect balance of how I want my IPAs brewed. This one goes down so easy and smooth, yet finishes dry to keep you around looking for another sip upon sip upon sip. Sweet hop nectar.

Nothing that brings anything new to the IPA game, but this is arguably the most perfectly executed one I've had, especially from Bear Republic.

Draft at Bear Republic in a shaker pint. There's lots to like here! Good appearance, great nose and taste, and finishes well. I'll grab this every time I see it! Glad they brought this to the CA Craft Summit Brewers Showcase. Well done Bear Republic!

Poured into a goblet. A mildly hazy amber-orange with a frothy off-white head. Great lacing. Nice bright citrus aromas with earthy tones, pine, and slight sweet malt. Just a tasty straightforward West Coast IPA with plenty of balanced citrus, pine, and earthy notes. A bitter melded with candied malt finish, if that makes sense. A beautiful IPA.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 6/27/2017. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense a fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big passion fruit, papaya, guava, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, berries, lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, light pepper/pine, cracker, rye bread, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge passion fruit, papaya, guava, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, berries, lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, pepper, pine, cracker, rye bread, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness and rye spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of passion fruit, papaya, guava, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, berries, lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, orange rind, pepper, pine, cracker, rye bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no lingering hop/rye astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, quickly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an incredible IPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink; despite the increasingly drying/resinous finish. Very dank, piney, and fairly juicy on hops; with just enough malts for bitterness balance. The rye works really well with the herbal/peppery background qualities of the hops, but never feels too spicy. A highly enjoyable offering.
