Filled my growler with this one. I like to start off my session with a pilsner and work my way towards and IPA. Its too bad they dont bottle this one because its really good. I didnt pour it too aggressively. Less than an inch head. A bit darker than most pilsners. Taste is excellent. This would be a good beer to have on hand year round. I drank the entire growler and plan to go back and get it refilled with the same if its still available.

On draft at the brewpub, Healdsburg, CA.

Poured a light copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a lightly sweet grainy malt and grassy hop.

The taste was very well balanced with a slight sweetness and cleansing hop.

The mouthfeel was full for the style.

Overall a tasty beer but not a typical pils.

Had on tap at the Abbey in Worcester 2/13
Beer pours a lighter, clear copper color with an inch of white head. Decent head retention with wispy lacing through out. Nose is slightly bready and malty very thin on the hops. Taste makes up for the nose. This is a nice crisp beer. Bready malts start this beer and with the hops presence, the beer finishes with a nice bitter bite. This is a lighter to medium bodied beer. Goes down smoothly - definitely a beer worthy to sit with for a session.

This is a nice, light but tasty lager.

Deep gold, it has a smallish white head that slowly srhinks and it leaves some lace.

The aroma is mild, flowery, grain, and apple juice with a hint of grass or pine.

The taste is nice and full-bodied, stronger than the aroma. It has mineral, malt, mostly grain and white bread crust, with a hint of toasted cracker, apple, herbs, and a hint opf honey. It's fairly zesty and lively.

On-tap at The Brewkettle, Strongsville, OH - 6/4/08

A: Pours a clear golden color - darker than most pilseners - with a thick white head. Lots of lacing.

S: Not espeically aromatic, but the hops contribute a nice clover-like floral quality.

T: Plenty of flavor with a honey-like malt character in the front followed by a very strong floral hop bitterness.

M: Light-bodied with moderate carbonation and a flavor that sticks around.

D: This one drinks more like a pale ale than a pilsener (not a surpise considering the source), but it's a damn fine beer anyway. A must-drink if you come across it.
