Café Racer 15™ features aromas of bright citrus and resinous pine from the generous use of Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Chinook hops which are complimented by a dry malt finish. The result is a high revving Double IPA that is loud and assertive, much like the rebellious street racers who inspired it. Never ride alone...

Nice caramel presence. Floral with geraniol for sure, rose notes, bitter orange, elderflower, tangerine zest, pine resinous bitterness.
Smooth mouthfeel.
Nice one. Can't say it's 9.5% abv

Copper filtered with lots of fine carbonation, and 3 fingers of light tan head.
Smells of caramel, oranges and pine.
Tastes of caramel, pine and orange.
Light and slightly crisp body with moderate carbonation.
I got this in Santa Rosa and am drinking it in Redding, March 6th, 2019.

July 28th, 2015 - This is a fast and sweet beer, which makes its ABV well disguised and a little dangerous. A bright orange marmalade color shines in the taster glass, and gives off an aroma of light pineapple juice, strawberries and sweet apple juice. The mouthfeel is soft and lets the sweet flavors come through fast and quick. This makes the taste just a little overly sweet, but fine for this late in the taster lineup.

It’s a fairly smooth taste. Surprised this is a 9.75ABV. Alcohol taste is sneaky. Good drink!

Bottled, presumably bottle conditioned due to the real ale reference on the label & I'm pretty much sure it's quite a fresh bottle
Pours a very slightly hazy golden body with good white head
baking soda and candy grapefruit, surplus people!
starting menthol, full on travelling eye, intense bitterness

Hazy, dark orange/medium amber in color. Aroma starts with bright and zesty grapefruit peel. High alcohol, grapefruit, high bitterness, and not enough malt bass leave this a bit uneven. I like the bitterness but the mouthfeel just let's me down, and starts to become s bit abrasive .

Bear Republic's Racer 5 is one of my go-to bottled IPAs, being easy to find and full of character. My cousin brought a bottle of Cafe Racer 15 over last weekend and I was excited to try it. I was not disappointed! I'm new to the art of reviewing beers, so I'll just say for now that I am going to seek this one out in the future! I could easily have enjoyed another bottle that same afternoon.

A cloudy orange color that has a fair head. Hops are strong and there's a slight citrus fruit aroma that is very inviting. The fruitiness is very nice combined with the hops. It has a citrus sweetness like orange juice instead of grapefruit. It's delicious. I love how the hops hang around on the tongue that cries out for more. These will go down with ease like the rest of my body if I don't quit after 2 or 3. An absolute joy to drink. So very fine this one gets a 5 overall because it's an absolute pleasure.
