Poured into a snifter, this left a 1/2" tan head with slick lacing. Color was dark with very faint red highlights. Smell was a pleasant bourbon that wasn't overpowering. Taste was absolutely out of this world. This was probably the best barrel-aged beer I've ever had. Perfect levels of oak and bourbon mix with a really nice full bodied stout. This needs to be tried.

(Served in a snifter)
A- This beer pours a jet black body with a deep thick tan head that last for a good bit. It slides down the glass with each sip, and the body is a bit too dense to see any signs of carbonation.
S- This beer has big but mellow oak and vanilla bourbon qualities with a softer black malt flavor that melds into a caramel malt finish.
T- This beer has a smooth wet oak flavor with that turns more vanilla as it warms and a cream and black malt finish. There is a bourbon heat that lingers in the aftertaste for a bit after each sip. As the beer opens up there is an inky quality to the black malt and a caramel flavor to the vanilla that is just a bit buttery. The finish takes on a chocolate nougat note aswell.
M- This beer has a medium-full mouthfeel with a warm alcohol heat but I don't taste the full 10.5 %ABV even as it lingers after each sip.
D- This beer is very smooth and big but well blended and all the flavors flow together. The oak and bourbon is present but they don't stand alone.

Pours an inky black color with one and a half fingers of creamy tan head.

Scent of sweet bourbon, chocolate, roated malts, oak, sugars and some alcohol. Good, but not great for a barrel aged Stout.

Taste of chocolate milk, roasted malts, some bourbon, and chalk. Finishes dry and chalky, which is very unappealing. Better than the base beer, but the base beer wasn't that good to begin with.

Mouthfeel is thin and watery with nearly no carbonation, terrible.
