A pretty basic pilsner. It's light and easy drinkable (so easy I drink them too fast sometimes) and a good beer for it's style, just what I expected it to be.

Very pale straw color, highly effervescent, with a thick, lush white head that lasts the whole beer, while leaving decent lacing.

Light corn, hay and floral hops in the nose and taste. The taste also has some bready malt, and a dull bitterness and slight skunkiness in the aftertaste.

Medium bodied for the style with good carbonation. A touch creamy. The bready, creamy character grew on me.

Good, nice straw body with bubbly head. Has a malt flavor that is similar to its 0.0 drive beer. Not much difference going on, tastes like Stella but I'd prefer this. In comparison to Stella this has better malt character and more crisp.

Disclaimer, this is review is the domestic German version of the beer. As with almost all European beers, the exported version in the U.S. is not that good and all the best qualities have been lost in the pasteurization and transport. Having lived near the brewery in Bitburg Germany, I've drank this beer many times and it is best from tap. Golden color, malty, great body and great bitter finish, this is the best and most consistant mass produced pils in the world. This is not for you IPA or stout aficionados who like your beer metallic and thin. A local German told be that the best way to drink this is room temperature and he was right, it's more complex bringing out the green, herbal taste of the hops and roastiness of the malt.

Poured from a 0.3l can into a plastic cup at 30,000 feet over the Atlantic Ocean. Thick white head with lots of bubbles traveling through a goldenrod body. Aroma of toasted wheat bread, cracked green peppercorns and a touch of dry oak wood. Tastes of honey and bread. Mild hop presence. Overall a decent lager. I didn't expect free beer on a US carrier!

Golden with reasonable head. Mild taste, very light delicate feel. Disappears quickly!
