Geary's Autumn Ale is a faithful interpretation of the classic brown ales of Great Britain. With a deep auburn color and a subtle nut-like flavor, Geary's Autumn Ale is the perfect choice as the seasons change. Original gravity - 1058; alcohol by volume – 5.8%; two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Golding and Fuggle hops.

A - Deep brown, tan head, moderate lacing.

Smell - Malty, whole grain bread smell.

T - Malty without being sweet, a hint of toasted grain hops are there but not out of balance. The yeast is the distinctive Ringwood strain.

M- Perfect mouth feel not too much carbonation, and just the perfect amount of hops.

O- A nice offering from Geary's not too sweet, and a nice balance of flavors. Definitely will have again next year.

Reviewed from notes. She pours a nice brown colored body with a decent sized foamy off-white head that gave some nice clingy lacing. The aroma has a nice nutty caramel maltiness with a decent balance of subdued hops. The taste is mainly sweet with some balance as it warms. On the palate, she sits about a light to medium, comes across fairly sessionable, dry and bitter aftertaste and finish. Overall, pretty nice English styled brown ale always worthy of more pours during Autumn.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a muddy burnt brown color with a one finger white to off white foamy head. Light stringy lacing.
The smell had some roasty nuts. Light caramel to toffee malts. Somewhat roasty.
The taste was moderately sweet with a nice balance to the roasty notes. Lingering semi-dry sweet roasty aftertaste. Lightly sweet on the finish.
The mouthfeel was a bit lighter than expected for a Brown ale. Super sessionable. Slightly creamy.
Overall, not bad, probably could be "beefed" up a bit more in the feel.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Dark red with a very thick beige head.

Smell: Almost nothing, very light malts.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Light malts and hops.

Overall: Not too bad, but I probably will not buy again.

Malty, a bit bland and a tiny bit sour but not in the way I prefer.
